What is your favorite WWII tank?

RE: What is your favorite WWII tank?
I do not consider the KV-2 a "silly" design. It was not intended as a tank v tank AFV nor as a breakthrough-deep penetration vehicle. It was intended as an assault gun/howitzer with an enclosed space for the gun crew. Similar in purpose to the German "StuIG-33B" except the KV-2 has a turret.

It was also an idea the soviets returned to with the (I)SU 152.

Next one. Not quite a WW2 tank, although the design was an offshot of lessons drawn from WW2. Exact nomenclature and country of use.

RE: What is your favorite WWII tank?
In reality their only useful purpose was as a subject of German propaganda photos
Thats pretty bad when the other guys are passing around photos of ur gear and laughing at it.

I believe it's a M41 DK-1, the Danish modification of the US M41 Walker Bulldog, which was itself evolved from the WWII Chaffee light tank.

And they were both so top-heavy that they had a tendency to fall over like SUV's... At least the later Soviet designs were smarter: proper heavy assault guns without huge turrets...

It is a mobile piece of fortress artillery with a 37mm Pom Pom. The make is danish, late 19th early 20th century. The picture is taken at Tøjhusmuseet (Army Munitions Depot), Slotsholmen Copenhagen [;)]

Correct, it's 19th century to be precise. The question was specifically aimed at Danes, as I expected at least one of you to give the correct answer, but you could have left the others some time to try guessing [>:]

Well, I didn´t give the exact model/nomenclature of the "thing" in question, only it´s function [:'(]. So there is still room for guesswork.

I thought it looked like an Edwardian Period prototype Dalek. All it needs is a conical tin hat.

RE: What is your favorite WWII tank?
so I can't do ths alone be with me...to day I go to work, I am just like you I go to work...just shortly after I arraive the world is wiped out...all of a sudden I am evil, satan... I live is so wrong I sholud die, not only should I die but torment should be my reality...110 floors or so I should be trapped and my only means of escape is to jump...jump to death...I should call dignity and jump...as I plummet I bounce off the side of the building...3.7 to 9.5 seconds is all I have and I bounce or not against the building the rictus of my scream is eternal but it only last's a few seconds...Today I see the towers burn...we worked there, wow! Chambers street was a big railroad yard wow...
