RE: Lowpe (Japan) vs Wargamr (Allies)
Allies think the game is broken since his subs cannot connect with the daily bombardments at Adak...
but really, there are some great pilots flying both ASW and Naval Search (day and night), plus several dedicated ASW killer groups, plus the ships only need go a few hexes.
To be effective, I think those subs need to shed their DL.

RE: Lowpe (Japan) vs Wargamr (Allies)
Agreed. As long as you keep the DL up, they won't prosecute attacks without insanely high aggression, like in the 80's. There are very few of those in the game.
Then, with your ASW TF's, when they do pop their heads up, they are going to get attacked and that ends that.
So, the code is completely WAD to my knowledge.

It is still early days though, when subs don't have fully working torpedoes. It doesn't really matter if those subs contact the bombardments. They're not likely to hit anything anyway.
He certainly won't get to them without controlling the air and picking off the ASW planes.

A proper understanding of how DL works as a mechanic is pretty much key to getting anything to work with AE.

RE: Lowpe (Japan) vs Wargamr (Allies)
Chungking is now surrounded, and with a dash of luck, might actually fall with the next attack, the 5th attack, but really I have planned for 7 attacks...
I might delay the Adak invasion depending upon the outcome at Chungking and the VP garnered thereby...
Two factories are r&d the Frank A with engine bonus already at 10%, it will come very early.

RE: Lowpe (Japan) vs Wargamr (Allies)
Thanks, guys, but it really was a foregone conclusion. 5 attacks to take Chungking, with the first attack not even knocking a fort level off. 0 Units were trashed in taking Chungking, and all the troops are off marching on different vectors.
Both divisions should be fully loaded into a ton of AK-t, AMC, etc for the Adak invasion. They should be able to unload in one full turn, and the Yamato left the repair yard and will make the invasion or the day after.
I worry about a full scale Allied fleet sortie, and will need to attack Adak with surprise. I have mapped a route out that will let me do that, barring sig int detection. I need to get the invasion fleet in and out in one day, survive the winter weather and the CD guns. The prize is another US division and 24 total American units.
Meanwhile the mini KB is off Perth, undetected looking for an Allied cargo fleet. I bet though, that Oz is supplied from California though.
