TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.13 Download)
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.2.2 Download)
Yes I was going for the Canadian port. The exclusion zone says something like "Axis ships might get damaged" which sounds a lot less intimidating than the warning in the Adriatic.
But obviously it racks up US mobilization quite a bit. I did not even notice until OCB warned me

I figured that was a brief summary of a strongly worded diplomatic note sent to the German embassy in D.C.
Well the result is that the USA's mobilization went up from 59% to 64% in late November 1940.
From reading the pop up while hovering over the Atlantic exclusion line, I assumed that some U-boats might take damage from abstract neutral American DDs.
Didn't occur to me that the line was designed similar to those exclusion lines in WaW.
What's interesting is the UK could cynically let those Nazi raiders alone, expensive as it would be, to help shake the USA out of isolation. Yes, deep state shenanigans like what I just described have been contemplated, if not actually executed.

I believe you may be right. Have family over from another country and they are leaving tonight. Will try and look at this tomorrow but I believe you are right that the US will get their mobilization up.OldCrowBalthazor wrote: Tue May 16, 2023 6:32 pmIt was the mid and late November turns of 1940...so the Americans are getting pissed.Taxman66 wrote: Tue May 16, 2023 3:38 pm What's the date?
I'm not sure of the exact TRP details of US mobilization, but in vanilla there is a steady increase in 1941, that may be partially responsible.
Another idea is to careful review the messages at the start of the turn. You can bring them back up by pressing l (lower case L), iirc.![]()

Drive 2 of them away at least so the port/convoy line doesn't get shut down.

It only dawned on me later what would have happened if OCB had not teased me ingame with the US mobilization going up.
I would not have noticed that for a long time. Maybe even until the US entered.
I guess nobody noticed before because if you play singleplayer on expert you can not really use your Subs.

Been fighting a desperate and protracted battle at the approaches to El' Alamein.
Question, does this DEC apply to TRP-WiE?:
DE 300 - USA: Send Tanks To Cairo?
Event fires: When Italy is politically aligned with the Axis and not surrendered,
Egypt is politically aligned with the Allies and not surrendered, and the USA is
politically aligned with the Allies but not fully mobilized, Alexandria is in Allied
hands, and an Axis unit is in El Alamein.
Cost of accepting: 200 MPPs at 50 MPPs a turn for 4 turns.
Yes: One strength 10 Tank unit will deploy at Cairo. Turkey may complain at the
arrival of these tanks in the Middle East, and if so then she has a 75% chance of
swinging 8-15% towards the Axis.
No: Nothing.
I understand that the '10th Army in TRP that comes with a specific trigger deploys differently with component assets.
Normally its at Jerusalem but Taxman66 filled me in with TRP specifics.
Anyways, inquiring minds need to know pronto.

I just looked through the scripts and I do see it there:
C:\Users\owner\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe\Campaigns\_TRP - Total Realism Project - 1.2.2\Scripts\Events\Decision
*I don't know how to completely read these, so I'm not sure if you get a Tank Corps or a Tank Div. I see the associated script in ...\Scripts\Events\Units file but it just identifies the unit with a string of numbers: #UNIT= 26 [10] [0] [10th Armoured]. I also presume the Turkey reaction is found in one of the Mobilization scripts. *

Ah thanks Taxman. Well, if the town itself falls I will be able to answer whether the armor unit is a Corp or a Division...and post the answer here. If it doesn't and I hold, then maybe Lothos can tell us.

Lothos,
Allies have liberated Vichy France (Vichy was taken over by GE DE).
Allied units in liberated Vichy France have sufficient supply but are unable to be reinforced.
Note The USA has 475 MPP and there is a Free French HQ in Toulon that is covered up by the pop up menu.

Well I lost El' Alamein the turn before and DE 300 never fired on my turn. Perhaps because of simultaneous turns (dates) this will happen next turn? If this DEC 300 is in TRP, (Taxman says there's a script as described in a past post see above) we would also like to know if the tank unit is a division or a corp.

Hi Taxxman, this is most likely a game engine issue that you are not understanding or missing. If you want to provide me with the saved game I can take a look but all of the times you have reported a supply issue it has been something you did not understand on how supply works in the game engine.Taxman66 wrote: Fri May 19, 2023 11:19 pm Lothos,

NOTE: Supply is not modable so if you find the bug in TRP then it must exist in the standard game as well.
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.2.2 Download)
I do not know, what I do know is that I have seen it before fire in single player games so not sure why it is not firing for you. Since you can not provide me a saved game I am not sure how to try and resolve this one.OldCrowBalthazor wrote: Sat May 20, 2023 1:51 am Here's one also that needs Lotho's attention:

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.2.2 Download)
I've moved a turn or 2 beyond that point in the game, but the issue is present. I'll send you a zip file of the turn.
From the picture you can see the USA SF unit has a supply level of 6 and can not reinforce. Additionally US units can not operate in/through liberated Vichy France (including operating Air units from the States to what would otherwise be viable hexes in VF). This is true of all units in liberated Vichy France. Once they move out of the Vichy French borders they act normally.
So I'm guessing this has something to do with Vichy France's status in TRP, given that it actually shows up as an Allied Major Power after being liberated. One that presumably does not cooperate with USA, UK or Free France.

I just downloaded this mod today to try it out.
On the Vichy issue, they are set to non-cooperative, with operational restrictions on their units as well. I think it's just a matter of updating the country status. I also note they are set to full scorch earth (not sure if that would be intended) and don't have a mirror position set up (will always face the same direction).

Non-coop explains the unavailability of operating units.
What about the reinforcement of units at supply levels high enough to be reinforced?

Elite Infantry were created from the Special Forces unit, at least I'm pretty sure. Did this unit land amphibiously and are counting down there supply from landing? This could be some odd interaction of forced supply from Amphibious landing into non-cooperative territory maybe? Otherwise I'm not sure the reason they would be even at supply 6 looking at the HQ positions.

No, it landed many turns ago and moved through Italy. It's supply is being provided by a HQ hidden by the pop up.
Additionally, all the other allied units in Vichy France in good supply and with available MPP are unable to reinforce. When then move out of Vichy into France proper they can then reinforce.

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.2.2 Download)
Your issues are all about you not understanding how non cooperative supply works. Vichy France is just like Russia. They cooperate with noone. Your supply levels are not what you think they are and are all below 5. You are NOT drawing any supply from any of the Vichy Cities or Ports. For your units to be in supply you will need to literally create a chain of HQs going back to other territory.Taxman66 wrote: Sun May 21, 2023 3:11 am No, it landed many turns ago and moved through Italy. This is how the game engine works.
The bug here is you used diplomacy to align Vichy France to the Allies. I will block this from happening in the future.
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.2.2 Download)
NOPE:
Vichy France was 'liberated' and aligned to the Allies after capturing the city of Vichy. Germany had previously used the DE to take over Vichy after Torch landings in Morrocco & Algeria.
As for the supply level of the units, I am looking at the information box and it is clearly telling me what the supply level is for each of the units (6 or better for all the ones I was trying to reinforce). If the units supply is lower than that, then there is a display error.
