Fall 1943 - Russia/China turn - or what is left of it.

The paras are nomore - their suicidal attack did some damage but at least the Red Army had SOMETHING to kill at ease. Anywhere else the German troops moved away from the front as if they were scared of the mighty Russian militias... With low supplies there is not much that Russia can do, so it more or less joins China in lethargy. Did I mention that China was shaking because another sack of rice fell over?

Allies continue to rebuild forces in the Pacific, while Spain pays the price for its pro-axis support...

Germany Winter44

I knew when portugal went allied in the early game that spain would be the no brainer way for the Allies to get on the continent.
Nothing a German player can do to stop it.
Spain put up zero resistance and instead handed out free expierence to the WA.
But they are still a long way from Berlin.

Caucus is evacuated, troops are shuffled and a elite sub is damaged with F'n auto hit Gr.....................!!

Turn sent to Japan.

No screenshots again, sry. Simply too hasty I guess :)

The Japanese continue their expansion into '44 with the occupation of South Africa after Madagascar was taken last turn. With a solid anchor on the southwest theater with our German allies, all efforts can be put into conquering Australia now. New Zealand and almost all islands north of it have been occupied and garrisoned. An Allied Carrier fleet of 3 was put out of action, with 1 Carrier destroyed and 1 damaged, plus 2 CAGs destroyed and 1 damaged. Jap losses were 1 damaged(?) carrier and 1 damaged CAG.

However, American attacks are expected from this point on. The pacific fleet was seen gathering SW of the USA, although now the losses of the 2 carriers + 3 cags will have taken out some of their punch. The russians are steadily putting pressure in Siberia to get me out there, but I won't budge yet :) Total Axis points were 83 at the end of my turn, but that's not expected to hold come the Allies' turn. An Axis AV looks bleak at this point, but the situation as a whole is looking far from bad. Germany AND Japan are both quite strong, and the WAllies still need alot more of everything to get things going. 8 more turns of survival and it's a Decisive victory for the Axis anyhow, given the +1 shift in our favour.

Winter 1944 - A quiet season for both Russia and China. While Russia cheers the great victory it achieved (one Infantry killed one Axis militia near Murmansk) and prepares for some more fighting in Spring China cheered another turn where both Japan and China exchanged flowers instead of bullets...

Of course as you might guess being in Winter 1944 that peaceful picture is purely a sign of an imminent Allied defeat unless the WA can bring their industrial might to some effect within 2 turns...

At the moment a significant portion of the Wehrmacht seems to be busy with the WA invasion of Spain, so Stalin ordered the collection of every drop of fuel left in the ruins of what was the Russian Industry to get the remaining tanks rolling...

Being Russia it is REAL fun to read the other AARs where in WWIII Russia gets chopped by the WA. Not that I think we get to WWIII here but even if we do the WA will take the win in one turn, actually they won't even notice they have been rolling over Russians for the last few miles...

Unfortunately the Asian situation is fubared so bad our sailors have nicknamed it "Fortress Pacific" . Our unsupplied carriers got torched, and most of our air force is busy taking on the luftwaffe. Japan's strat point totals are pushing them close to AV...

Germany Spring 44
Ok I have gotten the turn done and sent it on to Japan.

Last winter was not so good in the Med due to WA destroying several fighter groups with that f'n autohit (when do I get some?)

Air raid in London with no fighter defense was a total waste of German resources (see Screenshot)
8 fighters and 2 bomber groups sent in to attack HBs just sitting on the runway and not a single allied plane damaged, but ohhhhhhhh the dam bombard evasion 1 rears its ugly head.

My subs went on the offensive this season, unable to find any unescorted convoys we risked it all damageing a HF, destroying a LF and a couple transports. One of my elite subs was taken out with another f'n autohit, sheeesh they plaig me.

Russia Spring 1944:

A real sad turn for Axis bombers, beside the 2 lost over Britain two more were caught over Russia. Unfortunately this was the only good news for the Allies in this turn so far - Russian counterattack in Siberia failed narrowly while China lost its 2 Veteran divisions in a desperate liberation attempt. With the Axis being at 85 points this means the end of the free world? There is not much left swimming, flying and rolling to counter the Axis menace.

WAllies bomb enough axis resources to stave off an AV. Morocco is seized to isolate and eliminate the Germans holed up in Tangier. It would be nice to have resources to go along with our x5 factories... [:@]

I just spent about an hour and a half on the German turn.
I just completed the last combat of the turn, tried to view the results of my HBs destroying 2 allied trannys off France and I got the dreaded AWD EXE Error.

This game is 1.010 but it is the first time this has happened since I patched up to 1.011 (for my other games)
I am includeing a SS of the huge battle in Spain which obviously is now null and void due to the dam crash.
I was fairly happy with the results.

Not giong to have time to replay it tonight.

Hope the next time goes as well.

Germany Summer44

I have redone the turn.
The Spanish battle turned out different for sure.

The first time no Allied Armor survived. Not so this time.
The first time no axis armor was destroyed, not so this time. One Axis Panzer div utterly destroyed.
The first time several Allied aircraft were shot down, not so this time.
The first time the Allies held Spain, not so this time.

After that my subs did there thing with each of the 4 that are loose in the Atlantic destroying a transport.

I moved my Italian navy into the major allied CAP in the Med off of Gib and cringed as I clicked to resolve the battle expecting some naval losses but hoping to drive the Cap out of the Med so I could evac Moroco. To my surprise nothing got damaged on either side except for a allied transport (not even sure why it was there). Mission success and the troops and heavy artillary in moroco are saved.

Summer 1944 - quite late for a first Soviet victory in the whole war - Japanese pushed back somehere in Siberia. Not that is matters greatly for the outcome of this game but something for a good feel... China low on everything, supplies, men, morale...

Axis Victory points were reduced to 83 through bombing but that was it. With Africa/Asia/Europe/Australia firmly under axis control it officially became an AV at the end of this turn. Congrats.

Thank you Sandman for stepping into a less than optimal situation and causing my Gerrys a bunch of trouble.
I am sure you and Marshall Art will be a very tough force to rekon with in future rounds.

I have just tallied up the AAR points.
I am allowing all players to miss 1 post before penalties are applied.
If I made any mistakes let me know.

MrQuiet   20  x  .25  =  5  missed none  = 5
Avatar47  0  x  .25  =  0  missed wi,sp,fa42 wi,sp43  sp44 (-5)

MarshallArt  9  x  .25  =  2.25  missed none = 2.25
Sandman---------------------------------2.25
