I didn't understand your "confession" on the first page; it wasn't obvious to me and I had no idea what you were talking about. It wasn't til your brother spelled it out for me and someone posted an actual article that I finally "got it."

I think it's fair to say that not everyone is familiar w/your style of wit, but then again, that's what you're counting on.

I reckon they are great posts, too much counting rivets here and not enough real life!!

Games/Simulations are poor at recreating real life, the amazing incidents get "averaged out"

I agree.

Too often, it seems, we get too caught up with what we think "should or should not" happen and forget that, in real life, "anything" can happen.

Oh crap...no pressure now!  Going to have to let the hype die down.  I found a really good one for the next time I want to quit WitP!  [:D]

Going to have to do a few Trivia posts to let this one drop off the radar screen.

Actually, believe it or not, he's the oldest of us (4 brothers, 1 sister).

Do you guys live close together or use the Matrix forums to communicate? That's cool you guys both play WiTP!
I used to play Ultima Online side by side with my wife's cousin. Oh, did our wives have a lot of practice rolling their eyes! [:D]

"Relatively close enough for relatives".

Close enough.  I live in Land o Lakes, FL which is north of Tampa by about 40 minutes.  Dave lives in Valrico, which is about 30 minutes east of Tampa.  It’s about 45 minutes between us.  It’s close enough that’s it not a problem to get together, and far enough apart to not annoy each other (I wish my in-laws could grasp that concept).

But if see he’s lurking the forums (he doesn’t post as much as I do), I sometimes mix in OT stuff with my posts in his threads (obviously).

Dave played UO a lot.  Was somebody fairly important on Catskills, ran the Mage Tower there I think.  I didn’t play as much, I had dial-up at the time, and that tended to get you killed in PvP.  We played Asheron’s Call a lot as well.  Also WW2O (flight sim).  That was fun getting on team-speak with the rest of our squadron.  My wife actually thought it was cool to just listen to radio chatter from the other room.  We were an older bunch, and several of them were prior military, so there was good radio discipline.  She said it sounded like a real CIC (yes, my wife knows what a CIC is, I have oft walked by to find her watching “Dogfights” without me).

Made me giggle when I read that because of experiances with my wife. I've no doubt she has enough knowledge about the A1W/A4G and D2G reactor plants to step onboard and supervise bringing the steam plant online.

God love them for what they put up with when we are gone. I've always wondered why the engine chooses to drop out of the car as soon as we pass over the horizon.[:@]
