Colin Kazim-Richards. His mother is Turkish IIRC but he was born somewhere in England and never learnt Turkish, I imagine it's a major benefit not to speak the language of 'your' national team and to have only one other player on the team who can speak your main lanaguage [:D]
More likely is the fact that he wasn't good enough for England [;)], and he didn't fancy playing for the small nation of Antigua. I am aware of the irony that a player who isn't good enough to play for England is at the tournament whilst England are watching it on the TV [:D] [:D]
I think the only England player to have been born abroad is Owen Hargreaves (Canada). IIRC there was a bit of a tug of war over who he would play for, with Canada, England and Germany all after him. With the rise of the EU and the movement of workers there will be plenty more players choosing a 'foreign' nation to play for...
