I'll back away as host and let someone else step up. Easiest thing to do might be to just start over.

All I was thinking is that as we have only just started, and if we could get a 'Full house' of dedicated folk the game would run smoother in the long run, if that does mean changing Nations round a bit lets ‘bite the bullet’ and get the game going.

From his comments on the ‘Reserve list’ thread I’m sure Lenin will still be with us but he’s suffering Sars or somesuch Lurgy at the moment so may be slow to respond here.

So counting Lenin as an “in” that makes 6 of us so far, 1 guy ain’t as yet responded, if anyone’s in touch with him please give him a “Nudge”, I’ve forgotten who he is.

It sounds like WCS isnt really sure why thats the case. Its a problem happening on some machines and not others AFAICT.

Well it doesnt look like the last guy ??? Jimmy ??? is gonna reply, so maybe we had best go ahead with plan 1 ie Andrew emails the files to IW who, if I have the right of it, merges them, then does his turn and send them all out again, at least that way we have the game back on track and maybe Jimmy will respond too recieving the turn.

Well, we probably need to restart if I'm going to attempt to do the merging. I had created the last game playing as France, not too sure how well that would work out.

Depending on what nations any new players want, we might be able to just try and continue where we left off... not really sure though. Whatever you guys want to do is fine with me.

We were only on turn 1 anyway, so if any nations are to be changed player-wise, I say restart. Just my two cents though.

I've been engaged with my current pbem game. My offer to change countries was based on the assumptions we'd had some drop-outs. Happy to stay as Prussia and replay (with simple economy, no trouble to re-send my turn), or happy to play as anyone else if there have been personnel changes and nobody wants Sweden / Turkey for example. As I said, just let me know and I'm happy with whatever. I'll go along with whatever the majority want.

Spain has to switch to another country.  Thats Andrew Kurtz.  Other than that we are wide open.  So if everyone is happy with where they are we need a new spain and we since its simple economy probably best to just have whoever is gonna be France start the game over.

Does Spain have to switch? Not that it matters to me, but if Andrew wanted to play Spain, for example, couldn't we just change the order of the nations at setup?

Ah nevermind, not sure why I thought you could change it. Looks like it is indeed fixed.

EDIT: So let me know if I am staying as France or switching to Spain. If someone else wants to volunteer to attempt to merge the files, I'll go ahead and start the new game. If I am merging, then we would need a new France. I'm fine either way just need to know what we're going to do.

OK to get the game rolling I'll volunteer (I have an ingrained antipathy to it normally) to merge the files, so Andrew could you please email me a list of folks email adresses & country they are playing so I can send out the turns.

I will post a notice here on this MB when I have sent them, so folks, make sure you have 'Notify me via email ... ' below ticked.

So Kingmaker is gonna be Spain?  AK moves over to Turkey.  Ironwarrior and everyone else stays who they were already playing?  We start over or we proceed to turn 2?  I dont get what the concensus is.
