RE: Singapore Furball
You should be able to transit through Tarakan to Soerabaja. Make sure you can go from Java area to northern Australia after the fall of Timor.

RE: Singapore Furball
you're better bet is to load single AK's from darwin and send them up between Bulla and sorong to a possition west of samar, then cut through the San Beoradino straights.. he'll look for something up the "main highway"...
RE: Singapore Furball
Can't as long as his CVs block the route.
Since I have picked up about 18,000 supply from my Luzon Offensive that certainly helps but it would be nice to add 10-15K in supplies before the roof falls in.

Hmm. Well, at the rate of Allied successes so far, it might just become the Leningrad of the Pacific . . .[:D]
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Northern Lights--Day TWO
A busy turn where I will recap the action south of the Aleutians after I get some sleep. Do need to show off the Saratoga's fine WORK now though!

Nice work in the PI. I suggest you run back to Manila when he starts pouring in reinforcements though, and you should do it a few days ahead of his advance, otherwise you might leave all of those supplies behind.

Northern Lights--Day THREE
I am pulling back in the Philippines. Plan to blast the Japanese Inf Div at Baguio out of the hex and then return the Phil Scouts, 4th marines, and 2 TK Reg to Manila to fill out some more.
Saratoga is performing GREAT work up north!
HUZZAH!

John..... your forces have been running rampant and now Nagato seriously wounded. I'd love to be reading your AAR if you were the Japanese player (I'm sure there would have been a rant or two by now bemoaning the ever deadly accurate Vildbeests [8|]).
Seriously though have you had much communciation from Miller on how he is coping. I haven't been reading his AAR so am wondering how much pain he is communicating to your?

Kido Butai, although powerful, was a raiding force, and this is exactly how the Japanese understood its usage. 'Shattered Sword'

I think with John's extensive knowledge of what Japan Can and Can't do in this time of the war must be of emence value. Like reading his enemy's mail..
Timor Landings
OK. Risk time. Hornblower let us see if what you state is correct. I think Ken will keep his CVs at a fairly distant range since he is worried about Allied bombers. I'll try to use that to my advantage and place the American CVs in an advantageous attack position.
Should note that we just Shock Attacked the 48th Inf Div at Baguio, Philippines and got a 2-1! The troops are forced to retreat and I re-order my troops to the Main Line. The Tanks, Scouts, and American units return to Manila for some R&R.

Good Hunting!!
Malayan Fighting
Here is the picture in the western DEI. Commonwealth troops have cobbled together an effective defense at the mid-point of the peninsula. Would like to hold it for a week or so more before having to fallback to Johore Bharu.
The Prince of Wales has successfully moved to Batavia entering the Port with 85 Sys Dam and 36 Flooding. It took two days to move from Palembang to Batavia. She was protected by 100 Fighters flying LR CAP. As soon as she is fully pumped out I will move her into the IO and head for Aden. BC Repulse just arrived at Aden...

RE: Timor Landings
when the time comes r u going to try and hold Mersing and Johore Bharu, or just Johore Bharu? concentration of force at Johore Bharu or prevent the use of the af and port at mersing? i've tried both anf neither seamed to work for me.. [&:]
RE: Timor Landings
I'll stand at Johore Bharu. The Forts are climbing fast and if I can hold for another week there is a real chance that they will be at either 7 or 8.

I would say that so far you are doing extremely well as Allies! You have seriosly screwed with him the PI, Malaya looks good, and in general, have exacted a good toll for his advances. You are doing well!
Maybe you should switch permanently to the Dark Side?[:'(]
