I found the trio on aircrew/TRACOM to be especially informative!

I have just discovered these wonderful little tutorials.

It is amazing how much detail they uncover. Making use of the tutorials along with the manual, the forum and the AARs it is now possible to get a reasonable understanding of what is going on in this incredible game.

It is certainly the deepest and most immersive game I have ever played, and it is slowly but surely taking over my whole life [X(] [X(] [X(]

Many, many thanks to Damian for these tutorials

Thanks for the kudos guys,

I'll try to get some more out in the near future now that Tracker 1.5.1 (my other project with Floyd) has been released today.

I was thinking about looking at:
[*]TF reaction
[*]Naval support, rearming etc
[*]a turn by turn of Coral Sea[&:]
[*]Air co-ordination (thanks to LoBaron)
or are any more basic topics needed to be covered [&:]

Any other suggestions welcome ...

Thanks Damian, your videos help.

I like the idea of turn by turn, with explanations for choices made and perhaps showing common mistakes and how best to avoid them? So, showing a turn that gives a disastrous outcome and then reshowing it again with explanations to give a more favourable outcome.

Naval support/rearming would be cool.

How about a "how to reduce ops losses" video ?

Then i think it would be good you mark the latest entries of videos in some way.
Maybe with a *NEW or something like this.

Great stuff.  Bought the game a few weeks ago, and have still not gotten up the nerve to actual play--this stuff is great.  Can't imagine, as someone who never had the original WITP, how I would have ever figured all this stuff out.

Yeah just like driving a new ferrari, can't just look at it in the driveway all the time, have to take it out for a spin sometime [;)]

Glad the video's have helped, I had intended on doing more but have been seeing a new "light" mistress for the last few days. She's new and interesting and got me in her digital clutches - but I doubt it'll last...we'll have to see ...

Also I've started some small game projects using C4engine. Anyway I made a commitment to this and will have to come back to the wife shortly[;)]

Time for a bump here for the new users ...

and "yes" now that Tracker programming, Semester, marking, irrational girlfriends and other tales of woe are over ... I'll get to making a few more.

Could be possible for non english people to subtitle these video tutorials? (Or add a text file with the written comment?)

I think it will help much in understandig due also to audio quality.

Thanks anyway for your appreciated work!! [:)]

Wow...those are really nice. I learned something about TF movement and that is the ONE section of the manual I actually read....well...part of the section.

I think you may have misstated the settings for night arrival and quick withdrawal. Isn't it Full/Retire?

Actually that is the one video that needs to be redone for erroneous info regarding movement speed. But I believe that night arival and departure for Fast Taskforces and Bombardment should be at mission speed. Sounds counter-intuitive - but will test again under the beta.

Was going to do somemore after this damn cold goes away.

Thanks but I prefer looking at my co-ed's than people's mouths ;-)

Started slowly making more again (esp. as I've been given sticky privileges)

Tutorial on recalling LCU's and Airgroups.

Others:
Installing the beta
Capturing and uploading screenshots.

Index as always ...

[edit]
Stupidly changed format to MP4 - which is not web friendly enough. So I'll redo them as swf.
