I usually go for 1,000 or less and put a fighter leader in charge. Few things are more pleasing than a 1,000-pounder smacking a dreadnought.

I was surprised not to see a fighter escort... USN BB fighter squadrons are coming soon ;)

I live in fear of the mighty USN BB Fighter squadrons the terror of the skies [;)]

Well he bombed Lingayen three times good thing my flak gunners damaged a bunch of his bombers and shot down 6. A small Chinese force of two divisions has been seen heading from Peking into Manchuria despite the severe blizzards that have been effecting the area. Japanese Garrison troops are prepared for this invasion into Imperial territory.

Ulithi Atoll has fallen to the the US Hawaii Division's "C" Brigade. They quickly disarmed the small Japanese constabulary force defending the island. Ulithi atoll has a large lagoon which can accommodate 100's of U.S. ships. The high command has found this fact to be very disturbing. The U.S. navy can use this atoll's lagoon as a staging area to retake Japanese possessions in the Philippines. Here's a map of the Atoll and the "C" brigades line of advance as it occupies Ulithi. Also Pagan Island fell in the past couple of days but the assault there was a foregone conclusion already. The only bright spot in recent days has been sub 19 which hit the USS New Mexico with a torpedo.

[>:]

Tientsin is taken by the Japanese Armies North China Corps after its Chinese garrison abandons the city. Japanese soldiers have been careful not to disrupt the foreign contingents in the city and have used care when occupying the city. The foreign concessions in the city will be allowed to conduct business as they have before Japanese occupation. The North China corps left Japanese Tsingtao concession and proceeded north with no contact with any enemy soldiers in its drive to take the city. A Chinese Division has been spotted close to the Tsingtao concession's territory but has withdrawn further west. Here's a map of the general area showing the North China Corps, Tsingtao garrison and the Chinese division's approximate location.

I have withdrawn my forces from Lingayen to a more defensible line further north. He had a rather large force in the mountains to the east of the city. I figured they could have cut my army in two and not wanting to face that situation I have further concentrated my forces instead of having them strung out trying to defend four ports at once. He's been massing troops in the mountains slowly for weeks. Another sub has sunk this turn my submarine force is decimated. And one last piece of bad news he has sent about 4 Chinese divisions deep into Manchuria looking for a weak spot in my army there. Anway here's a map of the approximate situation on Luzon

I managed to lose 7 Destroyers this turn and the inevitable collision of one of my convoy's with one of his TF's has occurred. Ugh not fun [:(] and a city has fallen in Manchuria.

His Chinese forces in Manchuria have split into various smaller forces and are looking for a weak spot in the Kwangtung's line. Sadly the Nagato was hit by a torpedo. Vigan was taken by allied troops after it was evacuated. The winter of my discontent continues.........

Well the Kwangtung have retaken Chihfeng from the Chinese army. The Chinese army seems to be withdrawing from Manchuria now. I have spotted a unit of the Chinese army outside of Tsingtao again. His forces are also beginning to consolidate there position on Northern Luzon I think an offensive there is imminent.
