What are your CURRENT favorite games that you play? They can be anything from a first person shooter to a turn based strategy. What absorbs your interest most at this moment?

I'm trying to get ideas for another game purchase. They don't have to be Matrix games. It's been awhile since I purchased anything that has kept me glued to the screen for more than a month. So I'm looking for something to absorb me for awhile.

Nothing. I have tried WWI Distant Galaxies Ageod Civil War etc etc etc

Each has aspects that I like, and aspects that I dont. Currently I am hoping that DC online will be good

I agree a lot of these games have outdated graphics.I think BftB graphics are much better.
Outdated? Are they 8bit 320-240 or something like that?

I must agree about the dark units and maps. I had the brightness way up on that one. Why was it made so dark in the first place?

Back to the original thread.
Just got second Manassas. Great game.

Achtung Spitfire!
Over the Reich
Flight Commander II
Fleet Command
Plants vs Zombies[;)]
Is that Jane's Fleet command?

I remember 'Achtung Spitfire' but not 'Over the Reich'. [&:]
yes, Fleet Command is Jane's Fleet Command with NWP patch 19.01.
And Over the Reich is predecessor of Achtung Spitfire!. You can play as either British, American, or German pilots in European theater from 1943-1945.

Mostly older games:

2. Silent Hunter III with the GWx mod
3. Jutland

Other games like Oblivion, Gothic 3, Risen and WITP AE are on my disk but at the moment remain mostly untouched.

In the office I sometimes play WIR and Wizards Crown[8D]

Right now I'm playing "Survivalist" through Steam. It's a Action, Indie, Adventure, Strategy, Survival, Zombie, Open World game. The keyboard controls are a little wonky but other than that it is a solid game, and it is a challenge to survive, build and expand your group. It will cost you a Five dollar bill! [:)] Highly recommended!

John, that is an awesome group of games you are playing! [:)] Battlefront's Combat Mission franchise is one of my all time favorites (the Campaign Series too!).

I'm playing
Avadon - The Black Fortress

RPG with turn-based combat. Relatively simple but fun game.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

Supreme Ruler Ultimate - Bought it a long time ago on a whim and just started to really play it as Romania starting in 1936. I invaded Bulgaria and Greece, and now Germany won't ally with me because I have a "bad reputation" go figure [8|]. They'll still buy my oil. The Soviets declared war on me because I wouldn't give in to their historical demand for territory. My army has actually taken a good chunk of their territory but then the tanks showed up, now just trying to hold on until Barbarossa gets going, Germany has declared war but all their troops seem to be hung up in a floundering Sealion. So, it's a pretty fun game [:D] and this is only 5 years into what could be a 100+ year campaign. Key lesson learned for the next game would be to establish some allies before going on conquests.
