T8...Model's XXIII (in blue) is a very moble corps now. He sacks Velikie Luki and crosses the Lovat river.

T8 Leningrad...All hell breaks loose as the full power of the 18th and 4th PzG shatter the front. Once agian look at my railhead, Leningrad looks doomed as powerfull well supplied armys are approching.

Can Hurricane Jon take Leningrad in 41'?

RE: AAR Jon vs Soviet AI 41
PyleDriver,
Is the AI reacting to your drive on Lenningrad? or do you think that it is still concentrating its attention on making sure Moscow is secure. If it were me as the Soviets I would probably be transferring units from the south (the one facing the Romanians) to the Lenningrad area.

The start of turn 9, the Soviets only have 17 units of which some are brigades facing the Romanians and 11th army, can't get much thinner than that...Oh and 5 of those are routed behind the lines...

T9 north...Hoepner punches his 4th PzG to Lake Ladoga. The problem is even though supply is impaired, the three ports on the east bank still supply Leningrad.

RE: AAR Jon vs Soviet AI 41
T9 center...Hoths left needed to be secured, he struck north as Models Corp strikes east. Guderian bypasses Roslaval and presses east. 4th army levels Smolensk...Notice how I broke down divisions into regiments to concentrate power with 9thA and 3rd PzG...I also had to roll a corp from 4th army north to cover Hoths right...

T9 south...6th Army crushes Kiev. Kleist closes a pocket, however now supply is in the question... The Prypyat Marshes are clear now, goal number one...

T9 Hoth and Model's attack...Thought I'd give you closeup of the AAR. I blassed the hole, Schmits XXXIX PzC hit first and retired to defend the right, as Hube's LVII PzC pressed the gap. Model then supported the left with a bold thrust...Proper command and control my freinds is so important in this game...

Well thats a tough question our group always has to answer. It took me two weeks longer to take Smolensk than history, but I placed power elsewhere...Hum...

Jon,
Loss ratios look impressive for the Germans in terms of groundforces (~ 14:1 in men, 20:1 in guns and 25:1 in tanks).
Are you happy with the number of casualties on the Soviet side and your own losses?
Bill
