Here is Burma, a bit over half of the 21st Ind Mixed Bde is now in Tougoo.

The 33rd Div is closing on Moulmein, it will then launch across into Pegu with an Inf Regt and 3 Tk regiments.

They look to be planing to defend at Pegu, and they could have level 3-4 fiorts by now, we spent a lot of effort sinking ships so haven't been able to supress them as much as we would have liked!

Here is Malaya. The bulk of the Army is at KL ready to move forward when Malacca falls, hopefully next turn...

They will take Mersing this turn, but our troops to the south have plenty of supply (we have about 230 AV at Johore Bahru). But if Malacca doesn't fall this turn we will need to march a unit south from Malacca or they may open a back door to escape from...

Well due to a busy week I'm now about 4 days behind in reporting, so I'll try to catch up!

10 - 13 Jan 1942

Subs
They are laying little eggs all over the place... bastards! But no damage yet...

Our subs are operating off the west Coast still and over this period hit (and probably sink) several unescorted merchants. xAK Florence is one that looks to be sunk.

We also get the AMIpswitch at Suva and an xAK near Ceylon.

We suffer no ships lost but loose one sub to mines at Sorebaya.

Over the same period they loose 3 Subs, two in Port at Sorebaya (several more are there being hammered from the air).

Burma
We are now at Pegu. We are attacking next turn.

Our Block at Toungoo hasn't been molested yet (except by B-17D). We have almost 100 AV in level 1.5 forts and moderate to good supply (have 4-5 units flying in supply unmolested).

They have raided Toungoo and Raheng with B-17D, we are getting on average 1 B-17D every second turn.

We continue to supress Rangoon and Port Blair, no more ships have tried to run the gauntlet.

Malaya
We have taken Malacca, and forced them NE back towards Kuantan. We are now at Johore Bahru, and will have enough strength to take it in 2-3 days.

Singapore should fall quickly afterwards.

Sumatra
We have started to clear Palembang with mines. Swordfish from Singapore launched and hit one of our DMS in the process.

Java

We continue to strike Sorebaya from Denpasar sinking ships in port.

Borneo
After a real shitfight we have landed in strength at Tarakan, but failed on the first assault. More supplies are being shipped in.

South Eastern DEI
We have landed at Dili. Kendari is growing nicely and is the major hub in the area.

Philippines
Attacks at Clark have reduced the forts to zero and we are at about 1.5:1 in assault odd. We plan to bring in the 19th Div soon and that shoudl get us to 2. We are bleeding heavily in our attacks.

Once we clear Clark we will probably Blockage Bataan and send the bulk of forces elesewhere.

Davo is now almost fully cleared (Zamboanga is the last hold out).

SWPAC
KB is rearming nd refueling.

We are preping hard for PM.

Have landed at Tulagi.

China
We have stalled 1 hex north of Nanyang and took heavy casulties, we need to recover and bring in more force... which we are doing.

We have supressed PM nicely another week or so and we can probably invade safely.

Mostly resting.

We have increase Ha34 production from 40 to 80. This is used by Helen and Tojo.

We have sucked Formosa dry of resources, and doing well out of Haiphong as well (the port is also growing there from 5-6). The northern resource area is being worked to about 4 port pairs now. Have started Bangkok resource convoys. Starting to suck out of China, Korea convoys are working well.

We need to cease drawing fuel from the HI, Tarakan is a couple of days off falling but it needs to be exploited to serve the DEI efforts. Miri/Brunei fuel is being shipped to Kuching for the Sumatra invasion force.

We don't have any Oil centres to really exploit yet... but our tankers are ready.

The sub threat is dropping and more PB's are coming on line.

Our invasion fleets are holed up waiting for the Malaya or Philippine operations to finish.

We aren't using our big fast xAK much at the moment as we need to free up some faster escorts, so focussing on the slower xAK and xAKL's.

They evacuate Kanhsien and we take it against no oposition.



Economy.

We have drained Formosa, clearing Vietnam nicely, started well in China and really making an impact on the northern resource area. We still don't have the oil centres we need yet. We are starting to shut off some convoys and consolodate. Some longer range convoys have left Thailand and we have the ships in place once Singapore falls.

Their subs aren't trying to penetrate the main lines anymore and our convoy and air system is handling the few that do. In the forward areas their subs are a pain though.
