he seems to go for the "right hook" against leningrad. mistake.

imho the best and more efficient way to capture leningrad is the direct assault over the luga river with a PG and 2 armies.

he will get a long front which eats a lot of troops which would be placed better against moscow.

against my german opponent monty i made the same mistake once and since then i always go for a frontal assault on leningrad.

by the way:

i thought that I earn the title of "sir robinovsky" but you are even faster then me.:)

Again my idiots fought bravely but obviously not smartly. I lost all but 1 battle here, many of those by narrow margin.

Overall situation is not tragic yet. Germans are still, more-less contained. Disaster is averted once again. At least for a turn.

As I feared Germans were able to reach Tula's outskirts and prevent my industry from being railed away. It was anticipated, but it is still painful. (24 arm)

I am so spread out I can not stop Saper even for a moment if he commits himself somewhere.

It was the case near Stalino - 6 arm locked.

grrrr

I agree.

I am really relieved, that after initial onslaught of NW front south of Lake Ilmen he committed himself to "right hook". It granted me some breathing space.

My divisions near Leningrad were withdrawn to the north-east to created more cohesive line plus invite Germans to advance there. Hopefully Saper will change direction of his attack and move panzers closer to Leningrad.

Every turn, that his tanks spend moving away from Moscow is good turn.

Tula is lost, but I will try to buy myself few turns by defending this city. I leave me left wing exposed, because I hope river to the north will provide me with excellent fall back line.

South is constantly stripped of troops, plus there is no industry to protect here left. So falling back continues ...

Despite my "invitation" Saper continues to assault my positions in the same manner he has done so far - concentrated push plus minor encirclement.

Constant destruction of my divisions can not be balance out by new reinforcements - threat to Moscow forces me to sent fresh troops there.

My last delay line was breached so finally battle for Moscow has started. 6 clear turns too go. Bad bad bad.

Fortunately there were good news too - positions near Tula were not overrun, and whole line looks quite tight.

oh my...looks very bad for moscow.

maybe you can send every single AC of the red air force there to gain air superiority around moscow and fly non-stop attacks against his panzers?

he has to fight for every inch of ground from now so i would build a carpet directly infront of his panzers. if they attack through the carpet he will get causalties and if he tries to surround them he spends MP.

good luck for your battle of moscow.

Not many fresh divisions are available, so despite being behind the river I fear for my troops here.

Forces were withdrawn to main defensive line in front of Moscow. In the meantime Tula area was reinforced heavily by units stripped from the south.

More and more units are railed away from this area, so I move another few hexes east.

From now on I plan to fight, especially near Rostov.

Fate of Leningrad seems to be sealed. Now it is only the case of delaying him for a few more turns.

Saper arrived at my main defensive line in force. He will probably assault it next turn, while simultaneously putting some pressure on my flanks.

Tula is encircled and loss of city will expose souther approaches to Moscow.

I do not even pretend, that there is something like cohesive defensive line.

Doom is approaching.

All reinforcements are sent here, so every turn makes me stronger, that is why I decided to risk (sacrifice?) few divisions to reopen Tula pocket and buy one more turn for souther Moscow approaches.

My boys performed extremely well. Why can't they fight like that on regular basis?
