Not sure what you were trying to do here, but I think it is wrong.

The Algerie was kinda flimsy. They had no tonnage for armour at all.

juts looking a refernce i have says

Cruiser; Algerie

"armour was extensive and totaled 2657 tons as opposed to 1553 tons with the Duplex, inboard of the main belt was an anti-torpedo bulkhead, extending from the bottom to the armoured deck and enclosing the end barbettes, with space between divided into oil fuel and coal bunkers for additional protection"

Further, from Jane's Fighting Ships of World War II:
Armour:
4 1/3" Vert. Side.
3" Deck
Internal bulges, with hull thickness of 1 1/2"
(Total weight of Armour 2,000 tons.)
This space reserved for future expansion

Here's from Conway's:
Authorized in 1930, this vessel was the last and best French 'treaty' cruiser, and one of the most outstanding examples of the type in any navy. A radical departure from the widely criticized 'tin-clad' heavy cruisers, she was built in response to the Italian Zara Class. Armor weight totaled 2657t (compared with 1553t in the preceding Dupleix) and it was better distributed; emphasis was placed on protection against aerial bombs and underwater attach, and extensive torpedo bulkhead being separated from the main belt by old and coal bunkers.

Of course saying that it was the "best 'treaty' cruiser" is maybe not saying a whole lot.

Any chance you could email the updated files you have? Then we could do a quick final check of them.

Deal.

I shall go through and correct the last things mentioned at the bottom of Page 3 and then send them out for perusal.

How does one attach the ship art to the a ship? Never done that before. Its probably easy...

I haven't either, but there is a field in the ship class data base called bit map. It appears that the number here corresponds to the art work file name. There will be two.

For the Allies: AnSidexxx.bmp in ART/AlliedShip_Back folder and AnShilxxxx.bmp in ART/AlliedShip_Transp folder. xxxx is the bitmap number.

For Japan: JnSidexxxx.bmp in ART/Japship_Back folder and JnShilxxxx.bmp in JapSiShills_transp folder.

Thanks Cpt.

It would appear that we shall release next week without major issue. Will do the finishing touches and resend the files to the playtesters for a final perusal and then release it. Think people will be pleasantly surprised with the newest variant.

Dan sent this with his last email:'

You might want to look into P-38 pools and arrivals in the game. I only have a single P-38G squadron. It has 25 aircaft, but I have nothing in the pools. We haven't had any combat in something like two months, so by now you'd think there would be a decent number. I don't know the historic numbers, but I think there's a pretty serious disparity between what the Allies have and what Japan has or can develop. We're probably about to find out just how lopsided this is. I hate to give away info like that about the Lightnings, but you probably need to know as the mod designer.

I looked at both the 5.5 and the 6.0 files. 6.0 will have more P38-Gs than 5.5, but he should have plenty. I wonder if he inadvertently turned off production.

Not needed/wanted. The IJN begin building three Improved-Shokaku Class CVs and a pair of fast Command Cruisers to go with Yamato and Musashi.
