Thank you for the explanation, Dave.... that makes a lot more sense now.
It's all good anyway. The game has actually run as near to perfect as a game could run, for myself, for awhile now.

Re Beta or Final. I want to apologise for the way this was handled. It was a classic case of miscommunication between myself and Matrix. I did intend for build 279 to go out as a public beta. I had uploaded it onto our Panther Dev Files site for the internal beta testers and was asked by Matrix if this was to go out officially. I said yes, assuming this would be an official public beta release. Then nothing happened for a couple of weeks and I tried over the next two weeks to get it released. Finally I was told that it was going to be released as a final patch and I took the view that it was better to get it out than wait even more time for it to be changed back into a beta release. I misinterpreted what Matrix meant by "official". So that part of the debacle is down to me. Sorry for that.

Hello...

Sorry for the bad quality pictures. I agree...It's somewhat difficult to make out the details in thoose pictures.

The unit is all motorized. Including the HQ. It's the 9th Pz recon battalion.

Here is a picture of the order location when right clicked...

According to the pop-up motorized have 35 % mobility here. Rightclicking in areas close to the orderobjective shows only PINEWOODS (motorized 0 %) however.

.. so it made me curious if the game models crowding conditions as far as that, and perhaps as the "last one in", the HQ has to effectively find another path because of the transit through a bike trail, at best, through the forest...

That might very well be a likely reason.

In the succsesful attempt where the HQ followed behind the lineunits. 2 of thoose line units reorged outside of the wood. In the failed attemp where the HO moved around all 3 line units are deployed inside the wood s on the track.

I guess part of the reason for this 'malfunction' comes down to a 'stupid' order...

I did not put much thought into this order...My intention was do a quick test and make a few orders and then see how things played out before comitting to a 'serious' game...

This order was the first one i did...

Paying more attention to how you place the order might very well not lead to these kind of things...
