More showcasing of Crossroads' 11th Hour 2D Terrain Graphics Project, and Warhorse's earlier 2D Graphical Unit Icons also!

[:D]

Actually, Jason did the Manual (and will do the AARs), and Crossroads & Warhorse are handling the counters. For me, the coder, it's more like:

B (others) - Bugs, bugs, bugs!
A (Berto) - Where's the bug spray?! We need more bug spray!!

Getting closer to send out my first 2D Graphics release candidate package to Mr Petho...

Attached a snippet of night action from "Shuneri at the Crossroads", but with Visible Hexes outlined instead of shadowing. I prefer to see my terrain.

(Also playing with FOW turned OFF, to observe how the AI behaves. It is shooting at me!)

Thanks, budd!

We're definitely trying, that's for sure.

I don't think we can do earlier, but we're definitely going to be on time.

Another little teaser...

Operation Musketeer Revised 1956. From my Photobucket account, so not in real size.

2D Zoom-In View, Alt Counters, FOW=OFF to see what's going with AI, also seeing enemy Air/Ammo/Arty levels in the Hex Infobox for that reason.

I can confirm the game comes with its first MOD packed in, namely NATO Icons with white background for those who prefer it that way. Edit: Yes, JSGME is packed in also.

Here's the night action snippet again, this time with Hex Shadowing, FOW both =ON, and with the mod in place too.

From my Photobucket account so not in real size (2D Zoom-In view used), with colors a bit strange courtesy of MS Paint too.

Anyway, does look much more like night action given hexes outside LOS are shadowed, doesn't it.

That's a sample of night action, with special night terrain BMPs. For night displays, the underlying terrain is less bright, is reduced contrast. The units, flares, gun flashes, terrain features etc. -- these are unchanged between day & night, and overlaying the darkened terrain makes them stand out more. The daytime displays are less "dramatic" looking (less high contrast) than this.
