Well not much to report from the Pacific Front.

I sank 3 subs in the Indian Ocean after reducing the garrison at Colombo to nothing...Production is also zero.
Sank 5 subs in the Pacific...hopefully that hurts the British efforts in the area.
Lost no ships destroying the British subs.

Japan is building up its forces in anticipation of British responding to our success in the Orient. More British subs are sent to the bottom of the Pacific. The invasion of Colombo is coming up soon. Again Japanese losses were low.

Okay. Next time I'll wait for morning to make my turn----STUPID STUPID---freighters are not designed to attack subs. Did not lose any but the British get their turn and those freighters are probably history.

But in other news Colombo is now in Japanese hands. Meaning the supply lines to their subs is even longer--I think they are getting supplies from South Africa. And more British subs are littering the bottom of the ocean.

The Luftwaffe struck the chemical factory in southern England, reducing it to zero production, and destroying some of the engineers who will be trying to repair it.

We staged forward in Africa to move on British positions there.

This month was spent building up my forces in preparation of more conflict. I had asked the USA to approach the British for a possible cease fire but the USA joined the British in an alliance so I no longer consider them a neutral observer. I am hopeful that the USA will not join the British in fighting against Japan so I will NOT be first to start a conflict with the USA. However putting troops with British troops will not stop me from attacking the British forces.

Another month of preparation. Those British subs are like mosquitoes...annoying but not really dangerous in the numbers deployed. Two more British subs join their companions on the bottom of the ocean. The surviving freighter that attacked the British subs has joined it's companions in the supply chain. Other than that the area has been eerily quite.

The German forces in Sweden pushed through Oslo to Bergen.

The Luftwaffe struck bases around London, concentrating on troop deployments. Our losses were reasonable for the gains achieved.

Artillery bombarded Alexandria.

Japanese Imperial Command has released the following information.

The British attempted to penetrate the Japanese 1st Imperial Fleet. No Japanese ships were damaged but 3 British subs met their ultimate fate (how many ways are there to say they got SUNK). In response the Japanese Anti-Submarine forces and regular fleet units attack several concentrations of British subs sinking 8 more of them. My men are getting lots of training for free from the British subs.

If the British were to announce that they are leaving the Pacific and Indian Oceans completely we might be able to have a cease fire.

German amphibious forces invaded Scotland taking but not occupying Edinburgh. British losses were substantial.

Ahhh. Complete silence from the British...must mean they want to continue to lose men and equipment to the Japanese forces. Well to accommodate them I sank 3 more British subs.

British subs are reorganizing to minimize their losses while keeping their successfull interdiction campaign. However, the situation in every other front is dire. To make things even worse, we are having some coordination troubles with our new allies.

Just a heads up I am out of the country for a couple of week, so internet will be of the hotel variety so my turns may come a bit spotty.
Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?

6 January 1941

We took Edinburgh again, we want the Scots to get used to our presence.

In Egypt the Germans and Italians have re-isolated Alexandria.

The Italians and Americans are at war, but we hope they accept the Italian offer of peace.

3 February 1941

German sea raiders struck again, this time at Scapa Flow. Naval and air elements were destroyed. The raided port was evacuated after the operation.

In the Middle East Alexandria and the Suez were captured. Khartoum was also occupied.

The Luftwaffe struck two positions in England reducing the coastal defense.

The British evidently placed the city of Alexandria under American control. The United States did not choose to give it back to Britain, and Germany had to declare war on the USA to attack the British troops there. Seeing as the United States did not accept the offer of peace from Italy, a state of war now exists between the United States and the allied states of Germany and Italy. Neither Germany nor Italy sought this war with the United States, and the international situation is curious.

Just for the record....

The United States does not wish in any way to be in a war with either Italy or Germany. The offer of peace from Italy was overlooked and we apologise to the Italians. The British turned
over control of their forces in the Middle East to us without any consultation whatsoever. Those forces were promptly returned to British control. We were simply unaware that certain
geographical locations were also turned over to US control. The USA does not want or need these complications at this point in time. We can only surmise that the British were looking
for a way to co-opt the US into a European war. Mr Churchill.....we do not want this.

Offers of peace to the Italians and Germans are in the mail as we speak.

There are those in the US who are so furious with the British actions that some are openly calling for war with the British Empire. Cooler heads have prevailed......for now.

No harm, no foul.

Germany and Italy will accept, with gratitude, a return to peaceful relations with the USA.
