this might seem obscure but i just installed Windows XP mode on my system today and installed "Stars!" (i couldnt get it to install in windows 7} it is a good old 4x game, alot like Master of Orion but alot more scientific elements to it, such as the elements that determine hospitable planets

windows xp mode seems a great way to access some older games!

also i put in little more of TES Oblivion - I have been playing it on and off since 2007, i need to just finish it once and for all!

Today I've been playing Master of Orion II. A blast from the past. [:D]

I have been hooked on Never Winter Nights 2 for the past couple of weeks, and rolling an interesting multiclass. I will probably play it to the end, then move onto something else.

And what multiclass is that, if I may ask?

Will any of them be reviewed?

Recently bought a bunch of old 4x space titles at GoG during a sale a month or so back. On a whim I dropped Sword of the Stars complete into the basket right as I was about to purchase. Man I can't believe I missed this gem of a game back when it came out. UI is a little wonky and takes some patience to get used to it, but its time well worth it. Great strategy game easily one of my favorite 4x titles now.

I won't mention the others as I looked them over that day but didn't really spend enough time to say I played them.

I must have had a strategy itch to scratch as I also spent time in Eador Imperium when SotS turns got too intense and I needed to lighten the mood. Nice re balance of the Eador game, heroes are still important but no longer rule the battlefield, now armies are just as important and you need to pay more attention to tactics.

I put on the table OCS Sicily II. I'm still cutting and trimming the counters, but I'm looking forward to a relaxing solo game - accompanied by my first reading of Carlo d'Este's "Bitter Victory".

I have been playing some Etherium again - i dont see why this game got poor reviews, as it seems a solid rts game with a turn based interplanetary campaign

speaking of interplanetary though, i got an old game this week - When Two Worlds War from Impressions - they had a good range of strategy games in the 90s

I also got xp mode running on my win 7 pro and it is great for running old strategy games from the windows95-xp period that cant run or be installed in windows7
