The victory points do not have any effect on the game except to show your progress in the weekly turn news window. The important cities to capture are those with the asterisks, * City Name*.

We have tried using the Finns in regiments but they are not strong enough to keep the Soviets at bay and get beat up quite a bit. They are much more formidable as an entire division. The Finns can accomplish their historical goals in 1941 if used correctly and then hold the lines until 1944.
The human player as Finns or Elmer? I cleared the Soviet front-line in Karelia as the Finns with no problem. The divisions good insofar they can get successful RBC attacks vs. the Soviets. However, I found that I needed to split some of them to achieve encirclements. (Kessel, or "motti" in Finnish)

On the defensive, holes in the front are generally bad in my experience. But I haven't reached 1942 yet.

It's true that the Finnish divisions were badly equipped for offense and this is reflected in TOAW also. Not enough artillery. The Germans should have sold their vast stockpiles of captured French etc. artillery to the Finns instead of using them to the Atlantikwall.

What is a 1970s helicopter, AS-350 Ecureuil, doing in the Soviet inventory list?

This happened with the conversion of TOAW 3 and 4. Some of our custom equipment slots got disrupted and weird units got put in to replace. Do not know how or why but I fixed this with the current version that I am yet to upload to the mod site with Larry's other find on the Bulgarians.

So um...Rick dude: So far I'm satisfied that neither of these bugs affect the game I'm playing so I'm going to keep
going with my game. I'm on T17 already and I've only been working on this game for about 10 days now.

The latest bug does not affect game play at all. You can use the Bulgarians if you capture Sevastopol by Dec 3rd 1941 otherwise just leave them where you put them. I have not found anything else that is out of whack, knock on wood, so I am going to upload the latest version to the mod/scenario thread. Thank you!
