Those Italians are the most successful I think I've ever seen. It might be hard for them to make much more progress for a while, but the pressure they are probably taking off the Russians should help overall.

April 22nd 1916

Shadow Front - National Moral report: UK 90 - Fr 76 - It 93 - Ru 69 - GR 72 - AH 67 - OE 65. Two german sub packs are reported off the SW coast of Norway

Western Front - German DT occupies Lille, then is destroyed by UK shelling and two Fr IC attacks, more new units are raised and placed on the line/or upgraded.

Atlantic - Convoy ships continues to return to home waters, a damaged sub is found and trapped against the SW Irish coast.

Italian Front - Italy, seeing that they will be outnumbered on the left flank start to withdraw from the high pass's they occupied last summer.

Eastern Front:

Northern Russia - Germany pounds the only Russian IC in contact with their troops with AT then destroys it in close combat... it looks like they are trying to cut off the north from the center of the Russian line.

Southern Russia - AH, with german AT support hammers the Russian IC in Lemberg and takes back the fortress city after 3 assults by IC.... Russia's couter attack is weak as no unit is allowed to leave their entrenchment.

Southern Front:

Greece - Salonika fall to Bulgaria, the Greek IC destroyed after a long siege. AH continues to move units near the Montinegio capital and shore up its shell supply for the AT in the MTs.... France decides
to give some support to the fight.


Note: Weather has been rain for a few turns now.... its giving the SS a lot of 'mush'.. making them hard to see.

Middle East:

Sand - OE takes the 3 closest towns south of Baghdad, Arab partisans occupy a water spring in the middle of the desert, UK units reinforce in Palestine, in Libya units from both side maneuver for advantage.

May 20th 1916

Shadow Front: Reports are Germany AT might be at L2, Russia learns that deeper trenches help the troops (L3), all western powers invest in better shovels design (RD chits).

Western Front:

France - Germany and France trade IC outside of Lille.. the depth on both lines is looking a little weak. Near the swiss boarder the Germans strike first and spot the French from conducting an offence... IC are traded here as well. After several failures, general Dubail is retired and Petain is promoted to command the Swiss Boarder army's.

Atlantic - Sub off Irish coast is sunk at little cost, UK continues to repair ships for possible confrontation with High Sea Fleet. Norway ore ships are NOT getting to Germany.

Italy - Full retreat from the left flank as the road through the MTs is taken by AH forces. One IC lost.

Eastern Front:

North Russia - German AT with IC and Cav units push south of Grodro (Kovno line) and wreck one Russian IC, they also push east of Warsaw and confront the line around Brest-Litovsk destroying a rear guard DT. Russia folds its line around the fortress and rush's all reservers ahead to help the retreat. Germany lose's one Cav unit and Mackinson HQ is left too close to the front line, reduced to str 3 - that should slow them down for a few weeks!

Southern Russia - AH with German support make contact with the line east of Lemberg, Russian AT shells lead unit and ICs conduct minor raids. General Brosilofi conducts a third raid through the Jablonitsa pass to try and convince Romania to join the war.

Balkan Front -

Greece - Units pull back to better supply and await the Bulgarian Army.

Adriatic - French sub fleet gets hit hard after failing to damage AH DB in port.... France needs to rebuild this fleet and soon. Serbian DT sails out of Montenegro leaving on DT in the capital facing a complete AH army.

Middle East:

Egypt - OE reinforces units on the line and shifts HQ out of Jerusalem. UK finally attacks Gaza, 3 CV, 6 AT shell barrage, 4 IC attacks and the city is in Entente hands. SF land north, taking Hafta as well, cutting rail supply south.

Iraq/Libya - Units move, lots of space few threats.

June 17th 1916

Western Front:

France - Germany continues the battles by Lille and the Swiss boarder, two French IC are destroyed. South of Lille the Entente is exhausted, they reinforce and hold their ground. On the boarder, Petain counter attacks, destroys one IC, damages another to str 2. Near Verdun the French lash out at the weak German center line and destroy another IC.

Italy - Italian units finish the retreat from the Mountains, upgraded units look to attack the AH DTs to the North.

Atlantic - Norway raiders head to port for supply's, the Grand Fleet starts massing near scopa flow.

Eastern Front:

Northern Russia - German AT shells the forward Russian IC 6 times and follows up with an easy kill. Russian units retreat deeper into the country without counter attacking.

Southern Russia - The line east of Lemberg is firmed up with new troops while the assault through the mountain pass gains steam, nearly destroying the 2 blocking AH units.

Balkan Front:

Greece - Units are reinforced, the advanced trench construction ability of the Russians are needed.... Serbian IC is brought up to full strength.

Adriatic - AH takes the Montenegro capital... all units of this country surrender (I didn't know this was going to happen... wow that front fell). AH also garrisons the coastline heavily.... the French SF on ships must have been spotted. The French navy starts to evacuate this dangerous situation.

Middle East:

Iraq - UK starts pushing back up the two rivers to Baghdad, scouts show that the towns are empty of defenders.

Libya - All quiet

Levite - OE try's to establish another line from the sea to Jerusalem, it fails. UK assaults along the coast and destroy one OE IC, the SF rush's inland to take another NM city.

Shadow Front: Reports from all fronts have come in and the data is correct up to this point in the conflict. The layout is Country-MPPs spent on R&D/Diplomacy/Infantry Corps lost

As you can see Germany alone has outspent the western allies in research, and slightly less in diplomacy.

All Front - Continued raids where units are in contact in France, Russian continues to pull back from Poland, United Kingdom breakthrough in Palestine, The Western allies feel that the only way to victory is by starving out the Central Powers.... a new focus must be developed on other types of aggression.

July 22nd 1916

Western Front:

France - Germany continues to shift units around the Swiss boarder and Channel... they have AT L2 and never ending shells (Level 3?). The Entente start a long road of slowly falling back as they cant face the combined attack of well supported IC and AT (HQs must all be at or near 3 star quality)

Italy - A solid line has formed NW of Gorz with AH ICs forming up just outside of contact.. for now. North of Padua new units are forming up to attack into the mountains and push the AH DTs to Innsbruck.

Atlantic - All blockades now set at 100% with Norway ore convoys being sunk.


Caucasus:

Eastern Front:

Poland - Germany spots a hole in the Russian line and forces 3 units over the river south of Brest-Litousk. AH continues to push back the Russian thrust through the Jablonitsa pass, minor combat but one Ru Cav unit is isolated from the HQ. Russia Counter attacks to break the isolation of the army around B-L, 2 Gr IC destroyed. Germany finds and sinks Ru CN raiding in the Baltic.

Palestine - OE continues to retreat from the breaking of the line at Jerusalem, UK follows up by destroying 2 OE IC that are low on supply and caught in the open.

Iraq - General Maude continues to push up the river to Baghdad, two undefended towns stand between the UK and OE forces.

Caucasus - Russian continues to squeeze the OE forces that are just holding on and appear weak.

August 5th 1916

Massive counter attack by all fronts by the Central Powers, 3 Ru IC destroyed around B-L, 1 Ru Cav unit isolated and destroyed by AH west of the Pass, 1 It IC destroyed in the MT boarder by AH, 1 UK IC destroyed my Lille.


The combat lines have not moved, just more death and blood on all fronts... entente counters but mostly retreats and digs in where they can.
