You're right. Somehow my mind equated Pocket Battleship with Battle Cruiser.
The Pocket Battleships were really just Heavy Cruisers (variants? perhaps).
I modded my own private scenario with a ship in between heavy cruisers and battlecruisers (defense of the former, offense of the latter-the Graf Spee had the same guns as the Sisters, albeit 6 vs. 9).

A German Panzer (str 6) Grenadier moves next to Alexandria and attacks the Garrison twice, doing 2 damage and taking 1 back.
The Germans push up into Scotland, with an Army (str 7) now south east of Edinburgh which is defended by a UK Army.
The strong German Panzer (str 10, 2 exp), bumps into the UK Corps that left Carlisle along the road 2 hexes to the northwest.
In the Atlantic to the northwest of Ireland there is plenty of action and blood in the water.
The RM Eugenio di Savoia (CL) is surprised by HMS Parthian and takes 5 damage while doing 1 back to the sub.
Four U-boats attack HMS Jersey and sink the destroyer.
Jersey goes down fighting to the last doing large amounts of damage to each U boat that attacks her, particularly to the last sub which thought it would have an easy kill with Jersey at str 1:
Damages to each of the 4 subs: 4 dmg, 3 dmg, 2 dmg, and 5 dmg. The last was an 8 strength sub now at 3.
That last sub (U30) then moved to the north and encounters HMS Glasgow (CL) and HMS Amazon (DD). Amazon does another point of damage to U30.
The US is alarmed at Axis gains in Egypt (+6%, so on the bottom side of the swing [:(] barely makes up for the loss mobilization of Yugo being conquered, not to mention the still neutral Netherlands)

Churchill grudgingly declines Roosevelt's offer of Tanks for Egypt.

HMS Amazon sinks U30 (str 2) with a well placed depth charge (odds predictions were 1:1, but we are talking about a full strength DD vs a 2 strength sub. I'm just glad it didn't dive).
UK Tactical bombers strike the 14th German Army (str 7, 1 exp) southeast of Edinburgh. Spitfire escorts engage the intercepting German fighters north of Liverpool:

HMS Formidable and Glorious each launch a strike at a sub, that almost assuredly took part in the sinking of HMS Jersey, that was within range of their scouts. Both times the sub escaped via emergency dive.
HMS Courageous has similar results against another sub that was within scout plane range as well.
HMS Montgomery closes in on the 4th sub (U73, str 8, level 1) who was caught broadcasting with an out of date enigma code, but only manages to force yet another dive.
The damaged HMS Suffolk (CA, str 5) making it's way to Canada well to the south of the convoy lines is surprised by Bismarck. The German Battleship splits Suffolk in two with her big 15 inch guns.
HMS Suffolk does manage to land a lucky blow with one her own 8 inch guns, doing 2 damage to the Battleship.
HMS Salmon (str 11, 2 exp) then sneaks in from the south and puts 2 torpedoes into Bismarck for 3 damage and chases the Battleship eastward.
HMS Illustrious launches a single strike of Swordfish and Bismarck takes too much damage to be saved. A noticeable number of the biplanes fail to return (2 dmg to the air wing).
The great Battleship's stern starts sinking into the water, slowly at first and gradually more quickly.
As the stern sinks the bow rises until eventually the great ship stands nearly vertical for a brief time before slipping under the waves forever.
The Indian Corps and the Desert Rats (Recon, 5 str) move next to Baghdad.
The Danish Ambassador allows US troops into Greenland.
The Convoy lines are clean, Freighter captains are thankful for the respite.

The elite German 4th Panzer Corps (str 10, 2 exp) attacks the Polish Corps in the mountains south of Glasgow twice.
The Poles rebuff the Panzers with no losses, while the Panzers take a single point of damage.
In the Atlantic the Prinz Eugen (CA str 10, lvl 1), perhaps looking for the Royal Navy carriers, stumbles into HMS King George V (BB str 10, lvl 1) north of the convoy lines.
Prinz Euguen takes 6 damage while King George V takes 3. Prinz Euguen is then seen fleeing to the north.
A U boat approaching from the east or southeast encounters HMS Southampton and backs away without combat.
A Panzer Grenadier (str 5) takes 1 damage while destroying an Egyptian Garrison in Alexandria.
A Panzer takes 1 damage while destroying the other Egyptian Garrison in Cairo.

Air units didn't fly so were probably repaired this turn.
In the Middle East, 10th Army is destroyed in Jerusalem. Shooting down a few Italian and German Medium Bombers (1 AA hit on each), but offers no other resistance.
Franco is continually impressed by Germany's success in the UK (+10%, and not a diplo hit).
Stalin finally takes notices of events in the Middle East, with the fall of not only Jerusalem but Amman as well (+9% when combined with +2-4% normal turn progression... end of my then end of his)

Rommel's Panzers (str 9, supply 0) attack the Desert Rats (UK Recon, str 7) in Ramadi twice.
The Panzers take 2 damage while dishing out 6.
RM Leonardo da Vinci continues to spy on the Garrison in Belfast.
2 Transports are spotted leaving Glasgow.
Aberdeen is taken, leaving only Wick a few low population coastal hexes and Northern Ireland.
A mass of German units on the border has Stalin worried and USSR mobilization jumps +12% (including static gain as well).
A German Destroyer is seen near the port of Hanko.
Turkey strengthens pro Axis relations.

Rain in England.
No contact with the enemy.

Honestly I believe this game is already lost for the Allies.
The UK is going to drop down to a bit over 100 MPP once Iraq is conquered and they are woefully behind on Tech.
Worse, I don't think enough Russians are going to show up to prevent the thrust through Persia.
I failed to do enough damage in England or to keep the Luftwaffe tied up there.
The 2 HQs might be a bit slow getting to the eastern front but that shouldn't matter too much in early Barbarossa.
I made multiple killer mistakes with the UK once the timing of everything got thrown off due to massive diplo investment and failed to
see or prepare properly for Sea Lion.
The only bright sides are that: 1) I'm ahead in the naval game and 2) The US is Teching ahead of schedule (partly due to the inability to send Lend Lease to UK/Canada).

Allied Turn August 12, 1941
Previous Axis Turn:

Rommel's forces take Tikrit and are just on the outskirts of an undefended Baghdad.
Germany launches Barbarossa.
The Russian Baltic Fleet is attacked by combined Axis forces that crowd so closely that the Russian normal spawn hexes are altered.
The Maxim Gorky (CL) is sunk and the Russian sub takes 1 damage from a German Destroyer which takes 1 back from S-4.
In retaliation Maxim Gorky does 3 damage to U-81 (level 2) and the RM Giulio Cesare (BB) takes 2 damage.
The Marat (BB) is pinned in port by the U boat.
On the land, the Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht surprise three major groups of Russian defenders (i.e. the spawn forces). The high value units are the primary targets.
Of the northern force only the Infantry corps survive as the Russian Mechanized and air wings are bombed and/or attacked out of existence.
The heaviest blow lands at the forces stationed around Bialystok. The Russians are cut off by a flanking unit, and then the HQ, Fighter and both Mechanized units are destroyed.
The Infantry Corps in Bialystok survives as does the Infantry Corps to the southwest of the city after taking 2 damage.
There is no real hope of their being able to escape the encirclement.
In the Ukraine a unit cuts the road/rail line between Vinnitsa and Ulman.
A paratrooper then attempts to land in Luck and takes 3 damage from an Infantry Corps assigned to defend the city.
Unfortunately the paratroopers are displaced to the south and then move to the northeast and are able to cut that road/rail line. They attack Luck and do 1 damage.
Axis bombers repeatedly attack the Russian Medium Bomber air field to the east of Lwow and destroy most of planes but fail to knock out the unit entirely (str 1).
One of the Russian Mechanized units takes 4 damage, while the German Panzer Grenadier that attacked it takes 2. The other Russian ground units in this area are unharmed.
Italian Infantry corps move to the south and northwest of Stanislawow with another in Kolomyja and a HQ is spotted as well.
The Italian corps (str 8, lvl 0) to the northwest of Stanislawow attacks the Russian Corps (str 7, lvl 0) southwest of Lwow, with no damage to either unit.
A Romanian Corps (str 10, lvl 0) moves next to Odessa and engages in combat with a defending Russian Corps (lvl 1) with no damage to either unit.
Throughout the whole attack, not a single Panzer unit is spotted.*
Not all the German Infantry units are at level 2, there is even 1 Corps that is still at level 0.
This pretty much promises that the German minors don't have much, if any, in the way of advanced tech themselves.

S-4 (str 9) tries to slip out the Gulf of Finland in Silent mode but is spotted by the German Destroyer (Str 9) that attacked her earlier.
S-4 is halted in her attempt, but does get the better of the encounter taking 1 damage and doing 2.
While the units around Lwow are cut off, so are the German paratroopers (supply 0 low morale and readiness and almost assuredly without HQ support).
The 2 Russian Mech units (Str 7 & 3) west of Lwow attack the 7th FSJ. The stronger Mech attacks first and does 2 damage while taking 1 back, then moves out of the way for the other.
The weaker Mech then moves next to the 7th FSJ (Str 5) and manages to do a point of damage to the paratroopers.

However the Mech may not count as it is strength 3 and at supply 4, all the others are at supply 5 and strength 7, 8 & 9.
*** I spent 10 MPP on reinforcing them to str 8 & 7. Maybe they'll eat an extra attack or 2?
