At Leningrad the Soviets had retreated to the outskirts of the city. The goal was clear.

This week Shlisselburg could be captured in heavy fighting, sealing the fate of Leningrad.

The northern shore of the Neva is weakly held, but it is decided to postpone the further attack as the infantry divisions are exhausted.

Turn 10 Center

At Rzhev the Soviets stayed and an ambitious double envelopment was planed.

It also proved possible to reach the outskirts of Moscow, which was only lightly defended. Alas, there was not a drop of gas left for an hasty attack. Kalinin was also captured without resistance.
The only reserve left for the next week in all of AG Center was the 9th Panzer division.

In the South, the Soviets had retreated a bit more. It was necessary to cross the Dnepr at last.

But first, the remnants of the defenders of Odessa were captured.

In the North everything was ready for the attack.

The city was doomed with a huge amount of defenders.

Turn 11 Center

Before Moscow the Soviets abandoned Vyazma, shifting many a division northward and cutting off 2 German Panzerdivisions.

In heavy fighting it proved possible to shrink the pocket considerably and free the surrounded Panzers.

It did require the last reserves, though.
