Compiling valuable foraging information for future occupying forces I see. There is enough meat on that monster to feed a battalion for a week [&o]

I saw a picture of an 11 foot python that ate a 6 foot alligator. The snake swallowed it, then the alligator tried to crawl out. [X(]

Nature is weird and wonderful but as I get older I am happy to keep it at arms length.

The python gave me quite a fright on my jog.

Just waiting on the next turn from Lowpe- it should be a pretty special one depending where he sends his CVs [:D]

3. Magpies Swooping

Apparently if you feed them they don't swoop, so I let these two join me for lunch the other day!

Messy turn this one.

The IJN charged in and fought a series of inconclusive engagements with the USN.

Bounced a 20cm shell of Lexington's flight deck but it didn't penetrate [:@]

Worst losses of the war thus far sustained on the day (1 x CA and 1 x DD) Allies lost a mixture of a few DDs and some tankers but nothing too important.

Ships are scattered everywhere. The carnage is likely to ramp right up as I want his CVs and he is a long way from home.

Dutch subs are also taking their toll but nothing I can do about that.

The task forces have now cleared all the major choke points for minimum loss and are now heading to their assembly areas to marry up with surface task forces.

In the next day or two they will commence accelerating to their objectives. [:)]

Losses have been very light. A few ships to Dutch subs.

Decent progress in China. A few Chinese have been cut off but the bulk have escaped up into good defensive terrain.

Will take Sian and then re-assess.

Scoreboard- looking pretty good at this early juncture.

Losses thus far have been very light- been lucky on a couple of turns with his surface groups just missing the amphib taskforces.

It took about 4 turns manoeuvring to set this up.

Just wanted to cripple the flight decks and then the air based out of Saipan and mini KB lite would take care of the rest. Got a few 20cm hits on Lex but nothing penetrated! [:@]

Lost a good CA and a DD in this engagement.

Allies are very bold but they are really playing with fire around Saipan.

Over the last week torped a few good APs around Ceylon with troops on board.

This confirms my suspicions that anything half decent is being evacuated out of Ceylon and Southern India. My initial plan was to head towards India but I suspect I would only capture empty bases and land my biggest punches on thin air. No chance for AV going down that route.

Time for a rethink!

He has popped smoke and bugging out of the Marianas.[:D]

Lowpe has played this pretty well. Saved some pretty valuable ships out of PI and even bagged one of my CAs.

I intend to hunt down some of the stragglers which are either battle damaged or fuel starved. Probably can bag a few of his half decent ships but not the CVs unless he is very unlucky.

I have a bit of combat power amassed now in the central pacific- might as well use it..... Will amend my original schedule.

Another interesting snap shot.

KB lurking for the next push into the Pacific.

*I am guessing Lowpe is looking for it in the Bay of Bengal.

Just my $0.02 -- Kinugasa is not my idea of a "good" CA. [;)]
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

It has big guns and long lance torpedoes. If it can surprise an enemy force, it can sink the most armoured Allied vessel in the game. That makes it a good CA.

I love the Kingasa more from a historical perspective than a capability one.

Just in real life it fell foul to SBDs. 6 x SBDs attacked and 4 scored hits with 1000 pounders (wasn't damaged either prior to the attack) It did give me pause for thought as I have never seen SBDs be so effective so early in a game (imagine if that was a CV!) [X(]

Knowing Lowpe and how much he loves detail I bet their effectiveness is no fluke and I would be wise to be cautious I suspect. [8|]
