Again only 3 MS sunk. But it is a good turn for the Axis in Russia as 2 mechanized, 1 mountain and 8 corps are destroyed.
In Finland it is mostly just a war of maneuver.

With the help of a Paratrooper and the belated help of the Kriegsamrine, AGN captures Riga, destroys a couple good units and the Sorot is crossed. The Russian armour and mechanized forces along the Daugava will have to act quickly to avoid encirclement.

AGS also had a good couple weeks. Several Russian minor units are destroyed, 3 mountain corps are surrounded and a couple Russian mechanized units will probably be encircled or destroyed next turn.

Russia looks in trouble in the south...to many units surrounded or trapped.
Not sure a huge force in Finland is good. He needs to get them out now.

I agree with both your comments. I think Hadros does as well as he pulled back his units from Finland.

5 MS sunk and 2 U-Boat hits.
In Libya The Brits attacked my German infantry a couple times with their infantry and then moved in their armour and mech to force the retreat at decent odds. I personally might have moved the armour back after the attack to avoid it being damaged in the inevitable counter attack, but perhaps it didn't have enough OPs left. In any event, it seemed safe enough from destruction with a couple retreat options.

So I really felt for Hadros when this happened. I am not sure what factors are used to determine when a unit shatters from an attack. I know you need at least 7:1 odds and that the unit's effectiveness is a factor. But is experience a factor? If not than, IMHO, it should be. In Russia I have made numerous attacks at high odds against the low grade Russian corps and they always seem to retreat. While here a pretty good UK armour is shattered after just a few attacks. Another reason why I think shattered units should be put onto the production track like over run air units are.

The North After. I almost destroyed the Mechanized SW of Leningrad, but I ran out of OPs.

The Centre Before. As you can see the Russians ran away just about everywhere. Even the Red air force was moved to well East of Moscow.

The South After. The Dnieper is crossed. Note the centre of the Pripyat Marshes, where a number of Russian corps have been making a real nuisance of themselves. I have been chasing and destroying them there for a few turns now.

A good turn for the U-Boats as 8 MS and 2 escorts are sunk. The surprising thing is that even though the Brits had 28 escorts only 6 were in the North Atlantic.

In Libya I disbanded the Italian fighter as I no longer had enough Italian tech points to advance it anyway.
More evidence that airstrikes (and ground support for that matter) are far less effective than historical. Remember the Mechanized units that I used to destroy the British Armour in Libya last turn. Well this turn Hadros punished one of them with 8 air strikes. The results were pathetic. After all of those airstrikes it still had all it OPs and it's strength was the same as my other mechanized that hadn't been bombed at all.
