The German panzers are exhausted, but it doesn't really matter as they've already won a great victory.
We get a single fresh army. Ground experience is 40%.

I'm hopeful we can evacuate most troops from the Leningrad front.

Gorki falls. We get a single new army. Many of our units are understrength and I am forced to set Reinforce to max.

Winter comes. We lose one army shattered, get a fresh one, and Zhukov arrives.
Even though the Soviets are struggling to even reinforce depleted units, we simply cannot sit still this winter.
I intend to infiltrate and take any attacks I can (better than one to one).

Axis panzers are strong but there are several weak flanks.

We are waiting on snow before making any attacks. The British are finally fighting in North Africa but are still critically short on merchants.

We isolate a German corps (suspect a small corps). We get one more army, only one more is left in the production queue.
US joins the war and sends max aid.

We lose a half army shattered in a German counter-attack, and receive our last army. No more units in the production queue.
Army experience is 43%.

The Axis take a step back. Now if we had some armor with more than 5 moves we might actually be able to do some damage.

The Soviets finally have enough spare production to build a fresh army.
Our winter offensive might not look like much but our generals and troops are getting some experience, now up to 45%.
Losses are about even, which is really not a bad result.

Some panzers are so tired they risk being shattered or even overrun.

RE: How to possibly save the Soviets.
Side note, the Axis are quite strong in the west, this is not an all-in Barbarossa we've seen.
The UK struggles with shipping because of the u-boats and so their only vector of attack is overland in Africa - far from ideal.
In Europe the entire Atlantic coast is guarded by German units (not minors). Once the US gets going I may be able to invade Vichy North Africa.

We shatter a German corps, army experience is 48%. But I think we need to stop soon, our troops are getting tired.
