Turn 3

End of Air Phase

I set up AS in the North (pictured) and in the South. Eventually I will have AS over the entire length of the battlefield but the first few turns I normally only AS the spearheads. I also set up GS, yes I have my bombers on the map, for the Leningrad push. You can see the range of my AS in the North in picuter below. (AS is your best friend & your Fighters are your girlfriends, treat them right and they will take care of you and give you "HAPPY" endings)

Turn 3

Ground Phase

All pockets held

Had a leader death & actually replaced with a very good leader. I will take the luck on this one :). We are playing with normal leader deaths - DANG that reminded me that I didn't post what we are playing with :(. I will fix soon enough and let you know in a future post.

Turn 3

Supply to my units

Supply is in great shape and by going North with my thrust the supply should stay pretty nice the whole time. The same thing with the South of my whole army moving to Odessa. Your heard it correct, the whole suthern front is pretty much going to Odessa. I will have one army of Rumanians go to the middle of the map though.

I am slow playing everything from Smolensk to 5-10 hexes south of Kiev only moving at Infantry pace every turn.

Turn 3

Moves

Normally I would show the before move photo's then after. For the first few turns I will only show the end result until turn 4 or 5 depending where the action heats up. So for right now I will show the end turn moves.

4th PZ take Tallinn BUT many units out of command range as shown on the snapshots.

HQ in orange control my free RADs(my railroad repair units)

FBD 4 fixes rail to hexes it is in. I am linking the ports, then linking west to east is the goal.

Turn 3

Cleanup on aisle 3 looks to be done but set up in defense posture just to be on the safe side. They are going to be late for the party at Leningrad if they don't hurry the HECK up!!!!

Can see my RAD's working hard to get ports linked up to the line north. (I have 10 Free RAD's working by the way)

Turn 3

Push to Leningrad

Was able to bust a hole and push through PZ's and MOTO taking Luga and a hex or two North. Have two units surrounded and 3 possible (2 likely) that can't go very far.

ALL SS in this area of the map. Something your really don't want to see as a Soviet. Well, I never want to see that as a Soviet player because what the SS wants the SS gets pretty much.

Turn 3

FBD 2 6ish hexes below Pskov. Been using free RADs/OT to fix rail breaks in the line the last few turns. Painful to figure out but well worth the effort.

Turn 3

Moving down the line towards Minsk. Of course the Red box is me just being plain "mean". Yah, was actually just rude to surround all the HQ's. But hey I am giving my opponent the option to get a leader change free of charge by displacement :). Now that is being NICE ;-P. So I am a nice guy after all!

Turn 3

South of Minsk

FBD 3 marked in Yellow. The RED box is me being "rude/mean" again, I mean me being NICE that is to the Soviet player ;-P. (3 HQ stack) If it worked the first time more up north why not try it here too?

Turn 3

Odessa

Scouted Odessa to find a Cav Div in the hex. Cav is easy to move out of a city. Plus someone is flying GS :). Yum yum time

Turn 3

I failed to mention up north that GS by the Soviets was being utilized. When setting up ground support their is a key that I adhere to for the Soviets, but since I am playing Germany I am not giving out the key ;-P. As such here were the air losses for the turn for both sides

49 Germans for 894 Soviets
