I can't agree with this (except for the viva Espana part - andele). Fog of war has to be built into the game system if it is to be part of the game system. It affects so many aspects of how the game plays. A simple "on/off" toggle for visibility of enemy units does not address the mechanics of game play.demonterico wrote:Most of the games I'm familier with offer FOW as an option that can be turned on or off. It is a very complex matter and has significant consequences for the effectiveness of the final game design.
I hope that the EiA designers choose the path that most closely models the original board game and sticks with that.
