This whole front worries me very badly, 2 divisions are retiring from Akyab, the enemy has a unit due east of it
South of mandalaby I have 2 brigades and a tank unit
Mandalaby has a lot of units
Its in the air that things are going wrong
40 B17s attacked rangoon, only 3 hits, but I have nothing to stop him with yet, the Nates are of course useless
41 oscars and 22 lillies attacked mandalaby, and met 36 hurricanes

I have to withdraw my air in burma until DEI taken, then come back in strength

Ooops.... Seems to me you lose the war today with such a wrecked Palembang.
Every attack I launch there is with troops having at least 50 prep for this place and 2-3 ENG Rgt. Having engineers in the hex when you take a base with ressources/oil seems to really reduce the damage to oil/ressources.

Im keeping at least 5 sq of zeros here, they are in good shape, sent 52 over India , and knocked down 16 P39s for loss of 2
I made a big mistake sending divisions to Akyab, they are returning.
tabpub bombs Akyab every night, and some days, at least it means he leaves rangoon alone
BBs yammato, mutsu and nagato are at victoria point. they await 1cv, 1cvl, 1cve to come and reinforce, they are at singapore
A tanker is headed toward adaman island as bait
2 sqs of betties back all this up
Only 1 of Lillies is available for land operations
Malaya
is spewing out supplies, thankfully, and is base for 2 sqs of fighters that are training
The bombers left today for palembang

He has a lot of units in the bush, so 2 brigades are on guard duty

ASW action of batavia, spotted ages ago, and spotted often the asw group has no trouble finding this pest in shallow water.

Akyab is hit today by B17s
I have a partial unit of 35 brigade flown into here, Im hoping a amphib op is in the offing, 2 days until another CV is released, a week to get to theatre, thats 2cv, 2cvl, 1cve vs the british fleet, plus 5 bbs
PPlease tabpub, lets see a move into akyab!

The troops storm ashore at balikapapan, shock attack tomorrow
he recons baker, and akyab again
Lots of air supports spring rain, but Im confident we can clean up this little mess soon.
KB drifts slowly home, about parrallel to brisbane now, smack in the middle of the coral sea
manilla and clarke are bombed, again
troops are so slow in sumutra, about 5 days before we reach the southern tip.
I have LRCAP of oscars ordered for soerabaya, fighters there now
tabpub claims the phillipines will survive to May, and I believe him.
But for KB in the coral sea, I would be very worried by now about a counter attack.
Finally I have mulled over my options, and have cancelled any phase 4 ops, with one exception - 65 th brigade will go for perth[:D] next month,Im guessing troops there will be enroute soon for derby, lets see if I can back door him
This depends on what happens at akyab this month, but three AOs are allocated, and are enroute for the op.
Ph 4 is to gather 4 divisions and shipping at Truk, and await the chance to counter strike.
The other 2 will go to the solomon chain.
I do not believe he can possibly threaten the DEI once I get them, until darwin is cleared, and that will take a while.
So ph 4 disposition of divisions will be
5 in burma
2 at darwin
4 at truk
2 in solomons

An enemy ak is sunk by sonias near balikapapan
Shock at balikapapan, forts to 0
near kaifeng, we drive 2 chinese corps back.... so much for spring rain
I decide that all CVs will go to the south east pacific.
