Thanks for the AAR. It was a fun one to follow.

I'm exploring the defense of Gibraltar and England a bit myself now too. I'd be interested to see how you fare in your game!

Thanks for reading! I'll be starting an AAR on our new game shortly. One of our three is having trouble remember his Matrix forum username. Once he sorts that out, I'll post away -- and try to get those guys to post a bit. Rome says he did lurk here a bit but didn't post in the thread.

FWIW, I've piled nine, count 'em nine, units into Gibraltar to try to hold it -- mostly at the urging of my Soviet ally, who of course isn't fighting anyone. [8|] I'd better hope my air force and navy can defend England...

I tried a similar defense of Gibraltar and had no luck. I put 5 Militia, 1 Inf, 1 Arty and 2 Flak there and I damaged 2 planes and 1 arty. It certainly wasnt worth the losses. Those units could almost guarantee the safety of England.

Well, my Gibraltar Defense Force held out for one turn, though it was whittled down to three units. I rebuilt it again this turn, since a Winter turn is next and he can't invade England then anyway. But at some point I'll have to be satisfied with having slowed him down.

Ein volk, ein reich, ein Grotius!

Well done! Now I'm back from various exam shenanigans I can get on with my current multiplayer AAR as well as join in a few more hopefully [:)]
