RE: 15th Jan Manila falls!
India is open to sneer, but China and Russia would make for an interesting game, methinks that he does not have the balls to go for Russia so I am thinking either India and or Australia.

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
RE: 15th Jan Manila falls!
I don't see a problem with Russia - You should see Raver that I have no fear to go trough rivers.
It would be refreshing possibility to do sth new.
later turning LCU to russia is risky but now - Raver doesn't have anything to counterattack with [:D]
+ going for possible carrier battle in February/March is not wise as we all know

RE: 15th Jan Manila falls!
It looks like that Raver is in trouble at the moment!
I would think that you can take Russia out of the game quite easily... but than what? India perhaps would be good idea! [:)]
I would think that you can take Russia out of the game quite easily... but than what? India perhaps would be good idea! [:)]
RE: 15th Jan Manila falls!
Exactly as I like - all options are good - some are better
i can take russia out but later I'll get additional units for kwantung which make thing much easier in late 42
India is open to me but.... I doubt I can take all India with ceylon fast enough
otherwise fights will be bloody and will tie my assets
china would be nice but it is not optimum variant
North Australia - secures DEI but there is no more use of this variant
caledonia +NZ + pacific - tempting as it gives opportunity to inflict really heavy losses or provoke carrier battle early - this is fight allies can't loose
I have 3-4 turns to make up my mind

RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
I know I'm not talkitive about my strategy but Raver has access to this thread and some things need to be hidden from him. i hope after 2 wave of offensive will be going on , there will be possibility to carry out slightly more open information policy.
All I can say is that I run 2 serious operations now. their result - unless they will not fail as last one- shoud be reported soon.
Major movement as expected within a week time but this will take at least 3-4 weeks of time no matter what target will be chosen- Pacific is big.

I am a reed, I shall bend before the wind, and I shall gain strength and grow tall and strong.
If you ask me, you're getting spanked.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
2nd carrier force entered action scoring numerous hits on 2 other enemy convoys and sinking few of them
1st carrier force finished troop convoy
naval detachment bombarded Nomuea today
Kuantan free- malaya will be clear soon
BUG at Burma 46:1 in shock attack and what do I see?
F****g defeat [:@]
Allied troops are under constant bombing and are overwhelmed - results in defence better then at sieged Manila or Singapore \ PATCH needed
I have a few conclusions about how to delay enemy in 44 and 45
-never in base
-forts are waste of supply
-allow to cut off
-use magic spirits

RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
I'm slowly moving toward soerabaja - campaign at Java should finish in 2 weeks
cleaning of Malaya will finish in 2 weeks too
cleaning of luzon - ap.2 weeks to finish
so any major operation will start in 2-3 weeks
recon received shows that Caledonia was not reinforced by now - tempting ...
only burma with land combat bug is a problem - may be strong enough to change plans in this part of map

RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
ORIGINAL: Sneer
As "usual" 50+:1 attack and no breakthrough
I'm furious on land combat routine
I cut off these troops 3 weeks ago - they are under constant attacks of superior land units , with definite armor advantage and bombed to hell by sallys - and what ????????????????
The Brit units are doing what the aussies did at Kokoda IRL [8D] makes a nice change to see at least some allied units with backbone and some fighting spunk. Sneer forgets that the units and defending in heavy jungle much like the stand made at Long Tan in the Vietnam war.....only this one is going on much longer.[:)]

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
Kokoda was easily defended because there was no space to deploy troops
Hex north of Rangoon is not Jungle - it is clear

RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
bad weather is SE pacific - enemy convoy is unfortunately safe
again strange land combat in Burma
I'd like to know when they break at 100:1 or at 200:1
looks like enemy units are out of supply consisting of wounded or disabled troops ... and fight like heroes.
Hope local commanders will not take any prisoners

RE: Sneer vs Raver , Banzaiiii!!!!
Sneer has bombarded Noumea twice now and how the heck he got a JAP TF that far south has me stuffed. We all know how much the IJN ships are fuel guzzlers....he muxt be tanking them somewhere close. I would normally send a carrier TF to have a sniff around except he also has tow Jap CV TFs in the area picking off transport TF. Oh how I wish it was '43, better yet 1944 !

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
