Japanese land in Australia... Massive ground offensive about to start in China!
We have agreed on very flexible reinforcements so unfortunately I'am really short of solid LCU units in India [8|] ...Ceylon could be target here as you guys pointed out!
...also he has now landed in Australia!!! I have troops there but not that many fighter planes so that's not good at all! [8|]
AVG is split in 3 squadrons in China. I might reform it to fully operational force soon as suggested.

RE: Japanese army lands in Derby... +400 000 enemy troops capture Changsa...
The current situation in Australia is not good at all.
This might even force me to try an invasion againts Canton Island & Pago Pago.
I simply need more and better fighters down in the South Pacific! Also more infantry units are badly needed at Noumea and surrounding islands! [:@]
This is not what I would like to do for couple of simple facts:
1) I have no clue where the KB is at the moment! Last sighting was near Christmas Island before it disappeared! [8|]
2) This offensive would require me to commit my CV's. I have just 5 US CV at Pearl Harbour and it is early times in this war.
3) He has 10 LCU units at Canton Island and I don't have a clue what that means in terms of total troop strenght!
Ouch... That's all I can say... I can commit 2 divs, 2 brigades for the invasion but.... the risk is there that this would end up in total disaster! [:-]
The situation at China is not looking good either... I haven't had chance to look what the situation is after the Changsa was lost... but I would estimate that I really need to start pulling back towards inner China. This means evacuation of Henchow and surrounding bases.

I think hiting canton ( while appealing) cound be a massive mistake. with the loss of 2ndUSMC your lacking good troops too. I think just re-write what you expected to lose and try and work round it. CV raiding might be ok though ( just a thought) and it'll give you some intel on the units there . use some range 5 seaplanes on recon.
Yikes ! is all i can say in china .. that juggernaught is nigh on unstoppable. just try and ensure it doesn't head north to chungking. I suspect he will hoover up the rail line bases than think about heading inland any chance of a screenie of china ?
and P40's lost on the runways too .. not good .. place fell a lot faster than i ever suspected too.
As you advised me earlier . hunker down . but be annoying if possible.
Assume KB could be anywhere ( might even have split up) and i would suspect its keeping back from the aussie adventure as your carriers could ruin his day round here ( although they are a million miles away in PH )
Maybe think of moving them south to aukland/sydney so there close to the action. sitting in PH they arent doing a thing.
and as ever .. good luck

RE: Japanese army lands in Derby... +400 000 enemy troops capture Changsa...
He cannot hold in Australia in long run. You can march enough troops in later to drive him to sea whatever he does. He's probably just trying to tie up your forces therte for a while to keep you from reinforcing Noumea etc.

True. The worrying thing is that he has blockaded the whole Australia. I really need send in fighters and bombers in order to support the continent. Also, supply convoys are same... very hard to get pass by.
He will assault Noumea and that will make things even harder. Now that he controls Broome and Derby he can "blockade" the supply convoys coming from India too.
China... well, that is an mess. Those troops that retreated are not in good shape. As said hopefully they withdrew towards Chungking. Anyway, this theatre is a mess. I have +200 000 troops at Sian and Northern China. I think need to withdraw these forces too towards Chungking since I do not want my frontline to collapse.
RE: Japanese army lands in Derby... +400 000 enemy troops capture Changsa...
Came to my mind that if he sends those guys from Singapore to Darwin then you may be in big trouble.
Anyhow, just route your convoys from US via NZ. That should do for a while. Bit micromanagement, but should work. You *should* be getting some reinforcements soon both in AUS and in India...I hope...[:D]
I think it's way too early to start thinking about counteroffensives. KB will eat most invasion fleets alive it it gets there before summer of 1942.

(* just kidding *)
But you -DO- have to stop his roll.
Erstad has this nasty habit of attacking everywhere with overwhelming force (and quickly!).
Like I said, Erstad is a rabid dog. You gotta find one corner of the barn and wait there with everything you have. Pick a spot where you -know- he'll come to in, say a month. Pack everything you possibly can there. 3 or 4 Divisions. Your CVs. Everything. (It'll take you month to get what you -need- there).
Wait for him.
Then you shoot him in the face until either he's dead, or you are.

Erstad has been busy in past two days so hopefully we get this show on the road tomorrow.
Darwin is definately a potential target! I can't defend it properly at the moment though. Not enough infantry units available currently. (Those troops from Malaya are definately heading somewhere)
I have 1 US Divison, 1 RCT Unit and 1 Canadian Brigade at Christmas Island. Along with base units. There are also +50 fighters and +70 LBA bombers stationed there too.

I cannot think anything else than India/Ceylon and Australia where he could use those troops. I hope you get some reinforcements ASAP ! [8D]

Andaman eh ?
stepping stone for Ceylon or Calcutta area ? are you thinking of evacuating burma so you dont get sliced in 2 ?
And China ! eek ! .. run for the hills .. actually its not a bad idea for a few small units .. guerillas threaten to cut his supply lines will force him to leave troops behind so the juggernaught will deplete slowly.

AKyab .. fortunately has a god awful supply network .. so he's not heading inland very fast from there.
Get the heck out of burma ! now ! .. once your on the rail network you can move a lot faster and also its no longer malarial. If you have daks/old dutch transports can you air transport out of mandalay/myth .. wherever you are there.
Gather the RAF and even the chinese (sb2's are quite good ). and try and pound the transports now they are in range.
at least your having an eventful game [;)]
