I would rather say that Stelteck played well. He is aggressive and strong where I'm weak. Well played!

See below the units lost. Nothing valuable.

I also disbanded some support units ang got an extra 10k men as replacement. Not a game changer.

Turn 191, 8th february 1945

It's Christmas in february! OKH send us lots of reinforcements and Stemmermann lived one more year than in real history

Image

In the north, we do the best to isolate russian spearheads and to rescue our units.

Image

In Ukraine, some ground given. Russians are now close from our major line of defence. We will fight for it.

Image

And the OOB, more than 14k AFV for the germans with the last Pzd received

When new units are formed, all those tanks and manpower are created from scratch or taken from the pools? Thank you

That depends on the unit. Have a look at the reinforcement screen (i or shift i, it happens intuitive so I do not remember atm). Some units arrive as empty shells, others have equipment in them.

Understood, thank you

Similarly, I assume when a unit is "disbanded" as shown in the Reinforcements & Withdrawals screen, the unit's elements are transferred to the nation's pools?

Ouch those are some heavy losses, an almost 1:1 ratio with the Soviets, I doubt you can keep that up for much longer. How are your TOEs looking? And where are you planning to hold the line in the AGN sector? Is there a mud turn expected anytime soon?
Cheers,

TOE are looking bad. We are 4 turns ahead of the AAR and I'm loosing between 60K and 120K men per turn.

I have no more ground to trade before mud and it explains the increase of the losses. Another factor is the need of attacks to keep morale as high as possible.

Major breakthrough should occur soon.

Average TOE of german units is 55

Image

Same occurs for Pzd/mot units

If you havent already you should prolly start to reduce HQ personnel and disband more support units....and maybe even disband your lowest morale infantry divisions....security divisions an such.

I never went that far in a 41/45 campaign....

Thanks to stelteck for continuing this game!

Even if the game is won, I think that Stelteck can achieve some tactical victories. My units are so weak due to the morale loss and the lack of manpower. I'm short of 800k men.

Indeed really good sportsmanship from Stelteck, is to be applauded.
On the other hand your TOEs are looking pretty bad. Maybe a short pause in the fighting during the mud will help you recover a little bit. I'd say the same thing as chaos, try to disband low quality units so that you have some more men in the pool.
