One thing is for sure, there is no WITP AE players manual in Mandrakes "Throne Room"!

Aircraft losses from the 14th over Saumlaki (mostly). I sent up a P-39 squadron to see how they perform. Fortunately, there were a few empty tents.
P-38's are on their way.

Cumulative Allied losses. The four fighter types that have paid the highest price are the P-40E, P-39, F4F and the Hurri IIb/c. Well, technically, I guess you would say the pilots paid the price.[:(]

Saumlaki: More Tojo sweeps. JJ gave up with the Zeroes. The P-40E/K and P-39D did not do all that well, losing 12 to 6 Tojos downed. As there are no ships there, just a disbanded AVD and 10 PT boats, I have shut down all the CAP. Everything that can fly (except for a couple of Catalinas) was flown off and I packed the place with C-47's. If JJ picks this turn to raid the airfield or send in a surface group, it could be ugly, but the C-47's are needed to paradrop 503rd PIR(-) on Boela. 503rd PIR has a (-) because it was crushed at Dobo. When word gets out, Army airborne troops are goint to BEG to be sent to the ETO. I don't think there are enough transports (35) for the whole regiment but I didn't read the manual. Plus, Saumlaki is only level two. Even worse, 503rd is only 13% prepped for Boela. It may not work but I am pretty sure I wont get fired.
Boela: was bombed today. There is a construction Bn (Koreans in diapers) and a Bn of Naval Guard. I think all the poking around tipped off the LYB's. I wonder if they were flown in? Yesterday they had no guns? Today the intel is poor. Colorado and Portland are going to bombard the place tonight. A squadron of SBD's from the carriers and all the B-17's from Merauke are also tasked to attack.
(air complement at Saumlaki...please note that due to an oversight, two of the beat-up squadrons actually have the same Air HQ. This is accidental and any appearance of pranning should be regarded as spurious. As evidence of this, VII US Fighter Command is in Alice Springs [:'(])

Air losses for the day. JJ was caught with their trousers down at Myitkinia in a sneaky surprise raid by RAF B-24's and Wellingtons. That accounts for the Oscar losses on the ground.

Why are the LYB's being so culturally insensitive? Is the Soviet Union sending us suppries? Pretend I didn't read the manual.

What does your recon of Ambon tell you JJ has there? That's the intuitive next MLR in this area (other than Koepang, of course).

Yes, it is a natural bastion. They have 8 units 20K LYB and 73 Ronsons. That's why I am not going to land there. [:)]
I have a couple of units prepping for Namlea.

It may actually be safer than landing on top of a bunch of angry Naval Guard types.
