I would not rely on any numbers from China. They will never tell anyone, including the W.H.O., what is really happening there. Not only does the central government cover up, the many local governments also cover up the truth so even the central government does not have a clear picture. Anything from there is nothing more than a guess. For instance, the Chinese government says there are only double digit new cases and only from returning citizens. Yet the W.H.O. reports triple digit new cases and all from local transmission.

The posted graph model above only calculates "total recovered" divided into the "total deaths" to get a percentage.
Where the model breaks down is that the ones who are neither reported recovered or died are kept in limbo.
Statistically there is no such thing a limbo?
Statistics could show separately the total reported (got it) to total deaths for a solid percentage. If they want they can then show a percentage based on total that got it to the total that recovered. But, it will still leave out the largest group that "neither recovered or died". Some call them coins in the air?
Everyone's concern seem pinned on the death rate. The higher the number the more sensational the reports?

Now in Bob's graph posted above it is the first time that deaths to recovered "flattened out". But, statistically more people died than previous percentages show, if you are looking at total reported to total deaths. What you see from total reported to total deaths is that the percentage of those who died are steadily gone on. We just surpassed the 4% range into the 5% range.
With China not reporting "the truth" you will find that the WHO numbers are skewed and simply don't tell the correct story. Without accurate reporting from the epicenter of the Virus all other numbers remain skewed when looking at the totals?
The best look is at individual countries that test the most (a larger pool of more accurate information) and accurate reporting of the totals of who "got it", recovered and died.

There is certainly enough questionable behaviour going around. Groups of fools traveling to Florida during March Break. Other fools travelling to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

This is just one report. There are many others that point the same way. Of course I'm assuming you are not biased. Although your response makes that questionable. I suggest you seek the truth and do the research yourself. I did long before there was another new virus out of China.

They affect the chances of some of the most vulnerable sections of humanity being able to practice isolation, social distancing or lockdown if Covid appears in their community.
