You are inflicting more AV loss and casualties at the Peiping battle than you are receiving, but the IJA has overwhelming numbers and will win the race to the bottom. If you can get even one fresh corps to the scene it would likely tip the balance in your favour!
Those E's and PB's/PC's are getting too deadly to your subs. Time to form up some Fletcher DDs to go hunting them! ElmerBackfire.gif
Cannot yet hunt them with Fletchers...losses are next to mainland Japan... And Kamikazes are active...
Peiping is bit annoying, but have to get more troops there.

IJN ASW and Super-E escort ships are really overpowered in 1944. OTOH, I have still lost way less subs than USN historically (52 totally in Pacific). But I still don't like losing sub a week in game in 1944.
I get couple of SS put into repair doc every day (if they make home) and invariably cause is Type 2 DC from E-ships. Even one hit from Type 2 is enough for returning home (especially with my house rule that total damage =>10 and sub is called home. With Type 2s, total damage is often >50 or 100.
I have even reduced Type 2 DC throwers from 6 to 4 in these ships, but they are still extremely deadly. Basically they hit more than USN subs hit with torpedoes in 1944.
So, for next Campaign game, I'll reduce both DC numbers (like I did now) and slightly reduce accuracy too (from 7 to 6 to be in line with IJN other DCs (Type 95 and 95 Mod). Plus remove end dates from mine production and modify Argonaut to stay as minelayer with upgrades. (Mk 10 and Mk 12 plus radars).
When I am finished with this, next will be slightly modified DaIronBabes (basically Hakko Ichiu with DaBigBabes changes).

Topsys as kamikazes? The CR does not even show them carrying any explosives (beyond their Avgas). What kind of damage did New Mexico take from those 2 hits?
Re: the enemy supply (-) malus you noted when you were dealt more than 4000 casualties - IIRC it was Alfred who informed us that if any one unit in a stack has a supply (-) malus during combat, that notation shows up in the CR. So in your example, most of those enemy units probably had supply.

Topsies did massive 7 sys (well..probably less, but that was total) and 3 fire damage.
Good thing that Kamis are hitting BBs, they shrug those off usually quite easily. Except when they don't, I have had one BB in drydock for a while because of Kamis.
