Agree with rtrapasso. Mille Bornes was strictly a 'beer and pretzels' format. Reminds me of "Family Business", a good opportunity for reestablishing animus and recreating normative relationships. One of my favorite games....[:D]

Quite a fun little job...like PIT, which I also played in the day. Neither holds a candle to the many hours I spent whipping gadflys at Rook though.

Sounds like a weekend to stay indoors and play AE and WitP. [:D]

I might actually get a few turns in....unless i buy WitE.

Or decide to play Jutland

or decide to play Distant Guns

or decide to play Steel Panthers.

or do Chores.

I say avoid the chores.

Redskins' lunatic head coach, Mike Shanahan, is benching McNabb for Sunday's game and starting super-loser QB Rex Grossman! Why do I pull for this star-crossed, poorly managed, overpaid, no account loser of a football team!

I blame myself for being even caring at this point.

Geez, I did not know Rex was still playing. What did McNabb do wrong ?

I'm going to break one of the major rules of this forum now.

Ready?

The entire US senate need to be executed by firing squad. All of them. The Republican senators are scum for filibustering the 9/11 First Responders health care bill, and the Democrats are gutless cowards.

That's it. I'm not an American, but this makes me absolutely furious.

I'll see you all in a few days if I don't get banned or THE THREAD!!! gets locked for this.

Well since I try not to talk politics I will not say that I tend to agree [:)]

Must not buy WitE

must not buy WitE

must not buy WitE

Go ahead, I did. It is a very nice looking game. I played around with it for a few days. If you like, or are interested, in that front I think you will like WitE. It has some interesting features.

So here I am in kinda of a different part of the world, and I go shopping, and I find Boudin sausages. Well, gotta try them, of course, but here I am wheeling my shopping cart down the aisle singing:

Tiens,
Voilà du boudin,
Voilà du boudin,
Pour les Alsaciens, les Suisses et les Lorrains,
Pour les Belges, y en a plus, Pour les Belges, y en a plus,
Ce sont des tireurs au cul.

Ok, I just ran that through Google translate, I don't get the meaning. Off to look it up [:)]

Ah, the Legion song.

I joke a lot about not knowing something, but I gotta be honest, this one has me beat. I have never heard of this in my life. [X(]
Here's a good run down of the game:

Looks like fun. [:)]

Wow this jogs a memory. I found a mille bornes card deck when I was a kid in the 80's at my grandma's house never understood what it was and then here it's explained some 20 odd years later.

Early morning tithe, have returned from a xmas shopping trip. How someone could take 2x hours to chose a gift, when it would take me 10x seconds, I will never fathom. But sometimes a man has to do penance for his small freedoms. [;)]
