Michael,

here are the Navy recon squadrons and reinforcements. I actually am doing some research on the Myrt. In October of 42 the Judy C will show up (and I will make her) and the following month the Irving C shows up (most likely won't make it).

So, in the interim, I need to be really careful with the few Navy Babs I have.[;)] They might become just trainers...

PS: The Myrt will be my go to recon, hopefully focusing on the Deathstar and not suffering too badly because of the height and speed? At least I will test it out.

I held off the Chinese at Ichang (soon to be a major airfield) and at Changsha. Pushing forward in the far north, but you can see Obvert's mastery of China here in his defensive dispositions.

Normally, I would want to take all of China, but this game I am going to trash the Chinese economy (well, the deep economy). I want to see how the game plays out without a huge commitment here (and hopefully I will save tons of supplies).

A look at Fusan and the CS Convoys picking up there. I don't worry about maximizing tfs...but rather like using multiple small task forces and let the locals handle all the problems.[8D]

Going slow on the turn., which I have. I let Obvert know who is very understanding...it is the busy time of work for him.

We both feel the game has spiraled out of control! Obvert is especially 2nd guessing sending the CVs into the straits, what he doesn't realize is that probably extended their life on at least one occasions when I sent all my ships to the south where I thought he would be.

The carnage is simply out of this world...

Got the turn off to Obvert...just got tired of having it...there are still tons of things to do -- I hope I didn't make too many mistakes/oversights.

Allies take shelter in ports...

B17 strike the runways SW of Palembang...much better than oil or fuel or port strikes to be honest.

100 engineers and 10 tractors make great work onPalembang runway...now 31% damaged. Protected by a Battleship and several heavy cruisers now...another Battleships to the south, another at Brunei fully rearmed.

My sweep of Singers doesn't fly...a strike by Vals is escorted but the CAP gets to them...darn Lightnings. Severe storms...

Splash a lot of PBYs..

I'm not convinced. It seems to me that supply can still flow from Akyab to Prome, and then along the usual route. Not in the quantity possible from Rangoon, I grant you.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

I speak specifically of the 500 extra supply...not the normal supply logistics.[:)]

Provided it doesn't distract you from whatever your real objective are, from a psychological POV there is great merit in you pursuing an early thrust into the Alaskan and Hawaii regions to plant the idea that you are going to do the West Coast invasion again, but this time done properly.  Your opponent almost certainly knows about your effort against Jocke, and if he doesn't he is bound to be informed by some reader of his AAR.

I know you have a million and one things going on, but don't overlook moving your large BFs and Special BFs to help out at key bases like Jolo and Palembang. Their Naval Support should be helpful in many ways.

Ah yes, I went back to the first few pages, when you laid out more detailed plans for Emperor's merchant navy. There are some serious cargo reductions in this mod! [X(]

Do you plan to develop Miri, then ship from there, or let it flow overland to Brunei and use it as a port hub? Miri can only go to port 3(0), while Brunei all the way to 6(3) (unless it's changed in that mod). However, Miri has substantial loading bonuses from oil fields and refineries, which Brunei does not, or has a small 10-20 oil fields.
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage.

You are quite correct in that I feel very dis-satisfied with each turn as they could easily eat up a few more hours each. But it is a long game, and quite frankly slow turns make for a poor game imho.

Here is a list of most of these base forces...I do need to do better here, and on a lot of other areas.

I won't build either of them up. The 8K tankers fit just fine and can run to Luzon just fine. 11K tankers at Brunei. No problem in draining them dry.

Did I mention that the first 75K of fuel and oil is all going to Formosa - arriving in a day or two. I don't want to drop at Hong Kong till Wenchow is mine and some other parts of lower China. Almost all tankers are idle in port....exception one at Fusan and several at Hokkaido/Sakhalin. One tanker filling at Formosa to keep it drained, too.

The hardest thing to master as Japan in first few months is pace of operations IMO. Getting enough shipping to correct bases to pickup troops is difficult. You cannot afford waiting for TF to get to base because you forgot to form it. 😳 Take your time or do like I do and spend a morning like Saturday to do heavy plotting and scheming.
