I too hate to see the story come to an end but I do understand why it must. Thanks for the great rides you have given us over the years. It will be missed.

just an update , and congrats to the mighty penguin
He took over this game, John scattered to the high winds

I cleared Aussie land
Invaded the solomons, sank a few carriers....

And then the penguin washed my clock in early 43, sinking all my carriers........

We are going for a re match

There will be a simple AAR I think.........

I still would like to know how your opponent managed to sink all of your carriers. Of course you want to use your opponents tactics one me, so you won't tell! [:)]

Markwood 50 your first post indicates you are unfamiliar with forum protocols. Your post is valid as an item of interest but has nothing directly to do with the game WITP-AE, so it should be posted as a new topic on the main page with a subject line like "OT-Interesting book about Churchill's Wartime Thinking". The OT part means Off Topic to indicate it is not directly about the game.
The reason to put it on the main page of the WITP-AE forum is that it has nothing to do with After Action Reports and it is considered bad form to put your own subjects in someone else's AAR, thus distracting from that thread. Furthermore, the AAR you chose to post in has been dormant for a long time and it is also bad form to resurrect a 'necro-thread' because it is no longer relevant to most forum users and it pushes a more recent topic off the first page.

The appropriate thing to do now would be to edit your post by cutting out the current text (to be pasted later) and putting in new text saying post deleted - moved to main page.
Then go to the main page, start a new thread with an appropriate heading and paste the text you cut out of the AAR.

If you encounter any problems or have questions about using the forum just post in a new thread in the WITP-AE Main Forum. Other users will be glad to help out.
