I've decided I'm not getting Win 7 until I get my next computer, and then I'm really going to splurge. So, given my current status of unemployeditude, that's going to give me plenty of time to dream up some specs.[:D]

I want the computer from 1701D Enterprise. [:)]

Sorry to hear that, T.  You know, I play this fantastic computer wargame set in the Pacific during WWII.  It is really engrossing, and takes up all of my spare time.  You should give it a try.  [;)]

Is that the game that manages to be horribly imbalanced in favour of both the Japs and the Allies at the same time? I think I heard of it.

Sometimes I long for the days of blissful ignorance, unknowing of the horrors of game design. But alas, I've seen where the rabbit is hidden.

Yes, it apparently is the only game in the world that simultaneously favors opposing sides . I do not see how the Devs as a group avoid hunting some of the people in these forums down and doing away with them.

You know, you joined almost 12 months before me (I hadn't noticed until now), and have just crossed 7000. Don't know if that means anything.

Don't even get me started on folks joining up in the latter part of 2008. I think I've got marmalade in the fridge older than that.

I agree. Everyone joining after 9-15-08 is suspect.

Ask not the how's, why's and wherefore's, merely marvel in the improbability of it's instinctive cromulentitudeness.

"cromulentitudeness" ?

Pffft, all (three of) my true stories from the warzone are boring. True war stories are always less interesting than the time I parachuted behind enemy lines during the Fourth Australio-Tibet war and single handed wiped out the Bulgarian general staff before making good my escape in a miniature zepellin piloted by 30 chinamen and a small armadillo named Ralph. Obviously "Ralph" wasn't his real name as he was a part of the SAS.

I think I've seen that movie.....

I think Ralph used to live in my backyard when I lived in Florida....[:D]

He is currently living in mine................

Welcome back. Hows the comp?

It's virgin again. [X(] One of the two hard drives died , so they had to replace both. It will be the better part of a month before I get everything loaded again. And this weekend I'm getting Windows 7. [:)]

I'm glad someone finally got the pun![:D] BTW , they used to hide from us as well. But not all that successfully! [:D]

I got it. I just didn't say anything. I have always wondered why you would name an airplane a nimrod[:)]
