It might just be the Babes scenarios have a little more research in the land TOE's, but this unit withdraws in 307 days. At least the equipment will go to experienced units. [:'(]

In my game I gave 267th Tank Bde a good leader (with good admin skill) and put it in Madras with lots of supply and a regional HQ. It took until December 1942 to get morale 90 and experience 30. [:(]
But by then most of the TOE had filled out/recovered from disablement and I felt the tanks would tear up IJA tanks and troops without A/T guns. Might be a good unit to use in a strategic reserve role if the Japanese move into India.

Agreed. I'm just going to let it sit there and... improve. [:D]

At this point I doubt India is a target, although we are still early enough so the Empire has much, much power to project where it chooses.

Probably impossible to track, but I'd like to know if you think you have success
airlifting to Sian. I'm in a deeper hole there and in the last several days the whole
China thing has gotten shaky on the supply side. I did shift my meager three
C47 squadrons to Katha for 72 hours but its seems like a little trickle unlikely
to restore stocks there. I place them back on the hump rout shortly. The small
Chinese airlift capacity is about spent so staging a squadron on US C47s is
interesting. Inquiring minds.....

Transports in the game can fly supplies to 1/2 their Maximum range (beyond even Extended range). They can only para-drop troops to either (I forget which) Normal or Extended range.

If bombers are meant to be more limited when used as transports, OK, but what is the intent (Normal or Extended range for ferrying and dropping supplies)? If I know that I can see if there is anything I should report.

• The armoured units got fairly shattered at Katherine. The 8th Cav Recce Rgt is at 40/54% with only two light tanks remaining, one of them disabled. They are heading west as fast as possible. The 1st Tank Bn is at 21/45% with 11x Matilda II, 6 of them disabled. They are heading east as fast as possible. The infantry Bn and base force will stand their ground. They cannot hold but if the weather improves they will gain a couple of extra days before they meet a harried foe. The other armoured units mentioned previously are still closing on the area from their assigned avenues of approach and we might yet give the Empire a well deserved defeat at Katherine. The road from Wyndham to Katherine will be cut tomorrow and so will the road east of Nookanbah. Also, another Armoured Rgt is being committed to the area.

• We are moving the old CL TF to a position 11 hexes from today's KB2 sighting. No idea if they will hang around with Katherine now in Imperial hands. Without any air search they will rely on Seawolf to provide position info on KB2.

Question : Have you identified the source of the CAP over Katherine ?

4 Zero's and 1 Nick you post above

Derby seems too far away / Wyndham does show any spotting of an airfield although that could be a search deficiency. Katherine itself seems bereft of any air base.

Honorable opponent must be taking atrocious losses operationally in addition to air losses.

In terms of investment facing the same situation you wonder if it is worth it trying to extract those troops ?
