How in the world did you manage to do 12 or 13 continuous shock attacks at Hong Kong? Were you rotating units? Leaving some in reserve mode?
Given the poor replacement rate for British squads I think the shock attacks were too costly, but I don't know the full situation there.

Only the armoured units did shock attacks. All others were set to Deliberate attack. It just shows as Shock attack if even one unit is set so even when majority is doing Deliberate attack.

Need to post another week's worth of Combat reports...but this just caught my eye...

These guys have killed most of IJAAF themselves...P-40 unit, just upgraded them from P-40K to P-51A.

1027 kills for one squadron is pretty impressive. I don't think I have ever had anything like this.

That is impressive indeed!

Not sure the A-51 is a good upgrade. IIRC, it had a weak engine in the first model, and was not great at maneuver either. It should be able to handle the early design IJ fighters though.

If I remember correctly, the P-51A had the Allison engine but the P-51B and later models used the Packard Merlin engine. I don't know i they actually have the P-51C in the game, I will have to look into that when I open the game up again.

I just did P-51A upgrade for fun. I have enough P-51Bs to immediately upgrade again if I wish.

P-51C is not in this game but P-51D is in pipelines soon.

P-40K "upgrade" to P-40N5/25 is IMHO a joke... You lose speed, 20k altitude band maneuverability and climb rate, gaining 1 point of durability. Shitty trade, so I did use P-40K (IMHO best variant) since there were plenty in pool after production stopped.

If the production factory is on the map, you should be able to stop the factory upgrading.

Amusing thing is that subs commanded by top aces like O'Kane or Morton gain very little experience. Reason seems to be that these COs are so aggressive that sub often gets damaged on first contact and has to be recalled. [:'(]
