It's now T29 R1 and I've attacked Leningrad but didn't make a dent. I'll try again this turn. I gained a hex at Sevastopol. I cleared out two hexes near Kiev and the rest of them will be gone in a couple of turns. I'm having a hard time in the middle.

It's now T31 R1 and I'm sweeping east just southeast of Leningrad. Kiev is almost cleared out of Soviet units. I've managed to push out to Stalino in the south and I've pushed through the Kertch Straits and gained another hex in Sevastopol. I have 20.4K HRS's. Still way too low.

It's still T31 R1 and I've just discovered a possible problem. Voroshilovgrad has the worst possible target ( almost ). A huge stack of some stout Soviet Infantry and they are all in good shape, supply 100+ and in good morale. I'm going to need some arty to help the take down here I'm guessing. I need to get somebody on the north side of the river to capture the bridge on the north side. That will cut off the supply flow and that would be a huge help. I'm going to need some stout stacks myself to babysit that bad boy. This is the first time I've run into one of these.

Larry, there is one urgent radio code from Wolfshanze, The Boss, wants to know:

1. Where is your Stop-Linie Oberststumbafuhrer Steiner?

2. 21000 HRS - do you wish to gewinnen victored to death?

3. Maybe to rotate some units with low TOE?

4. Hang on till Frost and then Spring, we are sending you Dr. Pepper.

So um....1) I think it best to stop my units at the river going from Rostov ( bear to the left branch ) and go up to Voroshilovgrad and continue north to Kharkov, etc. I can concentrate on Stalingrad sometime next spring.

2) Yes of course, I think. I'm not sure what you are asking.

3) Absolutely.

4) Ukraine thanks you. Glory to the heros.

It's now T32 R1 and this is the front lines so far. This is the first of the mud turns. I have 26K HRS's so it's getting better. I finally cleared out Kiev so now those units can migrate out to the front line. I need to put them in the gap toward the middle. Huge gap. Surely there's some Soviet units in there.

You are doing fine Larry 🎖️ just need to plug this hole. I have also there some weak spot but now I have put enough units it needs maybe 2-3 divisions more, AI there is pretty passive...

In my game I didn't even went for Rostov, Soviets there have in my game easily 4-5 armies so I will not attack Rostov until I finish business at Sevastopol and give it back to Ukraine.

Good job General.

It's now T35 R1 and this is the front lines so far. This is another mud turn. I have 20.1K HRS's so it's too low still. I gained another hex at Sevastopol and I've reached the stop line on the road leading to Stalingrad.

Thank you Monkey Man dude, yes I need to plug the huge gap in my lines and I have units headed that way as we speak. I like to grab Rostov as soon as I can because a lot of Soviet reinforcements pass through there. As soon as I plug it the Soviets have to use other ways further to the east. Fortunately the AI is acting rather passive at that gap in my lines. I'm not sure why.

It's now T37 R1 and this is the front lines so far. This is yet another mud turn. I have 20.2K HRS's so it's way too low still. I captured Leningrad finally. That's it I'm through attacking. I need to stop because I need my units to beef up a lot in order to survive in the Soviet Winter Offensive.

Directive 41 starts with 32.3 HRS on May 17, 1942 - 29 turns away x 432 HRS per turn = 12,528 HRS coming. Hurry and issue a directive - no fighting losses, no pestilence, no attrition losses.

It's now T38 R1 and I haven't moved anybody yet. The Finns advanced to Leningrad defenders to threaten them from the north. I've got 20.5K HRS's so it's not increasing fast enough and the Soviet Winter Offensive starts soon. I'm slightly worried. This could be bad.

It's now T41 R1 just before I pull for the first combat phase. I have 21.6K HRS's and that's too low and the Soviet Winter Offensive is the next turn. I'm slightly worried. Also, I'm not going to be able to reduce Sevastopol before 4Dec41 so the Bulgarians are going to go away. D'oh. I've reached the stop line near Stalingrad.

It's now T44 R5 just before I pull the trigger for the last combat phase for the turn. I have 20.6K HRS's and that's too low and the Soviet Winter Offensive is soon. I thought it was T42 but it didn't come off yet. I'm slightly worried that I'm going to get creamed. I finally grabbed another hex at Sevastopol but I still doubt I'm going to be able to grab the port before 4Dec41, so the Bulgarians are probably going to go away.

It's now T47 R1 just before I pull the trigger for the first combat phase for the turn. I have 20.4K HRS's and that's way too low. The Soviet Winter Offensive is probably going to happen in T49. This is now 30Nov41 and I don't think I'm going to be able to capture the Sevastopol port by 04Dec41.

It's now T50 R1 before I have moved anybody. I have 19.0K HRS's right now. This is the second turn of the Soviet Winter Offensive and so far I have survived but still I have multiple weak spots that need attention. There are at least six places where the Soviets are just about to break through my lines. I'm not sure but I think I'm loosing.

I'm seeing a great encirclement link-up at Vladamir from the Ryazan and Yaroslavl axes. Your wings are positioned for it.
