We are now up to 9 September 1942... the turn is in the hands of the Evil Empire.

However, Speedy has announced he no longer has time for the game so is dropping out... this leaves me as the sole Allied commander, and Bruce and fabertong on the Evil Empire side... no word of any further reaction as to what will happen with the game, which is now 3+ years old*.

(*3 years, 2 months, 10 days as of this writing from the date of the first post... the game is actually a bit older than that, but that is when the BOB thread was born.)

At this rate, you two will take a long time to finish the turn. I started reading this thread back when it started. Hard to believe it is 3+ years already. Good Luck!

Turns are going relatively quickly now... the game should last until sometime after i retire, though... [X(] [:D]

As I watched this game progress, I became a fan of two day turns.

We are now 4 years of the BOB game, which originally started as a 3 x 3 game, and is now a 1 x 1 game... it has speeded up somewhat... we were averaging 1 turn/week, but we are now going faster (2-3 turns/week) ... we are just short of 1 year (the 2 Dec 1942 just got sent to the Bad Guys/Animal team) for results.

The Allies are on the offensive in general... things are stalled in Burma, and China. New Caledonia is liberated from the dastardly Animals, and so has Darwin. There are some towns in Northern Oz that still have furry foreign troops in them, but the glorious Allied Armed Forces are working on remedying that.

Otherwise, the Aleutians still have Attu occupied by the Animals, but it is under air siege.

The KB is intact (as far as ships go) although the air groups got severely handled at one point.

I am glad to see you are still with it and making progress. After starting AE games, it was hard for me to continue with WITP. As my PBEM partners quietly quit,I didnt badger them to continue.
