THE THREAD!!!

Is GFU taking her frustration with dog out on you , Nik? [:D]

No, she did take it out on the pitbull this morning after it chewed a rug. Someone got a hurt real bad..........

latest discovery on the Dobbie is worrying.....he growls when you hug him. We don't think it's an aggression issue as its contrary to his disposition in all situations we've noted (people and animal). We think it's anxiety.....the dog appears to be a little claustophobic. Still....when a big Dobbie starts growing in the vacinity of your face.....you tend to get a little concerned. Dog definately has more trust issues with men than women. We continue to work on the dog while openly wondering if the prospective new Dad will be able to handle the thing.

meanwhile the addition has overtaxed our lung systems.....he's detoxing so bad the dander level has us both heavily conjested to the point where we have to sleep in seperate rooms due to "noise" issues while breathing.

someone gonna get [another] bath real bad..........

How do you get a bath "real bad" Nik? More spurs and riding crop? [:'(]

We're, uh, lounging.....

Edit: or playing a turn, or (in my case) waiting for a turn (and lounging).....

Another edit: or chasing the stupid cat who wants to eat the bird. [8|]

Who gave you the bird? [:D]

Ooo....another lover of classical music here......very nice. Actually, I'm not so much into the symphonic stuff as chamber music of the Renaissance and Baroque varieties. But I like some Beethoven and Mozart thrown in there too.

I think we might have very similar tastes. Baroque is definitely tops for me. I would love to hear any of the Brandenburgs live. [&o]

Unfortunately, I think this city is too hip for me. The Phil gravitates towards the Stavinsky-esque stuff.

People around here are nuts... less than an inch and the Seattle Times is reporting a seven mile backup on I-5 beween Seattle and Everett!!!

That's not nuts. Nuts is a 5 minute shower causing a 3-hour traffic jam on the 101. [8|]

No. In fact, he'd probably find it somewhat odd if you did. [:D]

I'll assume it was verbal since you aren't languishing in the hoosegow.

Yes, apparently you don't have to respect your gf's parents rules in their house.

No smoking in the house? No feet on the dinner table? No inviting 20-30 friends over? Dude, you guys are such squares. [:D]

Then I say he doesn't need the use of both thumbs, or the ability to walk without a limp.

The way Simon makes him sound, he doesnt do the opposable thumb thing much anyway. [:D]

Unfortunately, I think this city is too hip for me. The Phil gravitates towards the Stavinsky-esque stuff.

I would love to see more Baroque done by the symphonies. Give people a break from the same ones over and over.

Our symphony down here is actually setting up a program where their musicians go out to other venues in small chamber groups and do chamber music. Looking forward to going to some of those.

I love the fact that symphonies give musicians a steady income and would hate to see those fall by the wayside. It's hard enough to get kids interested in playing classical style music and taking lessons. Without a career path, we'd have few new musicians entering the field.

It was just the icing on the cake of a few incidents. I have to say that I got very angry. I tried hard but sadly made my daughter cry. And I didn't even use bad language, call anyone names or shout. As I said, I don't like him or his family.

Anything besides the fact that he's that close to DU that's got you upset?

On the subject of family, I suddenly had a recollection of that Rowan Atkinson bit about "...if they could be compared to a pile of manure....and I think they may..." [:D]
