Doctor Parkinson declared "I’m not surprised to see you here
You’ve got Whiners voice from whining, Squinter’s eyes, and chronic fear
I don’t know but you might have Fanboy rabies
But worst of all young man you’ve got WITP disease"
He wrote me a prescription he said "You are depressed
But I’m glad you came to see me to get this off your chest
Come back and see me later - next patient please
Send in another victim of WITP disease"

Cheating is simply a matter of perspective. What is cheating to one person is simply retro-studying to another.

Edit: After all we must remain fair and balanced and recognize that there are two sides here. [:D]

I love Fridays, its piza and beer night.

I once heard that there are more lawyers in Seattle than in all of Japan.
probably Bill Gates doing, it takes a lot of minions to staff an evil empire.

Ode to Wake Island Redux:

Hope’s dashed to the floor
And shattered Speedy's dreams
Invading Wake Island
Can make a player scream

(bridge 1)
That walk in the park can become a bad dream
Penguins are laughing and mocking my schemes
This is the only escape from it all:
Imitate the Leopard seal mating call!

(chorus)
Oh, Wake Island is waiting
Waiting for Speedy
Oh, Wake Island is waiting
Waiting for Speedy
Oh, Wake Island is waiting
Waiting for Speedy
(Waiting for Speedy)
Oh, Wake Island is waiting

We don't need a plan
We've got nerves of steel
Speedy's troops retreated
Tell us what’s deal.

(bridge 2)
You’re bombing, you’re shelling, a freefire spree
I never want this to happen to me
Don't try invading, you're wasting your time
Wake Island’s waters are heavily mined!

Oh, Wake Island is waiting
Waiting for Speedy
Oh, Wake Island is waiting
Waiting for Speedy
Oh, Wake Island is waiting
Waiting for Speedy
(Waiting for Speedy)
Oh, Wake Island is waiting

That walk in the park can become a bad dream
Penguins are shooting and firing at me
This is the only escape from it all:
Bombing those penguins until they fall.

Is it Redux or Reflux, Speedy?[:D]

Oh yeah, I had the weekend off, sort of. The wife decided that the whole family had to go clothes shopping.

I haven't done that in years. Pain in the ass. Talk about a way to cause fights in the family.[:D]

Good news is that my opponent fixed his problem and our game is back on.[:D]

I have learned that the way to speed my wife up when she is clothes shopping is to find the raciest thing I can and loudly ask her to try it on. If that doesn't work I start holding it in front of me and asking her how it looks.

I may get the cold shoulder but it gets us out of the store and gives me more time on the computer since she will shut me out for a few days.

You would figure that after a few years she would know better than to take me along. [:'(]

My condolenses. [:(]

I can hear it now.
wife: "honey does this dress make my hips look fat?"
Mike: *looking desperate* "Hey what about this blue dress over here?"

Just kidding Mike. GF and I always close shop seperately. Its in out contract "And the party of the first part (the bf) and the party of the second part (the gf MkI) agree heretofore never to shop for clothing at the same time in the same location. Any breech of this agreement may null and void any prior agreements entered into..."
Good news is that my opponent fixed his problem and our game is back on.[:D]

Myths - well OK, there are several common ones associated with the battle, which seemed to have arisen mainly from one guy (Fuchida) who had an agenda when he published his book that intorduced the myths to the English-speaking world:

2. Adm. Yamamota devised the Aleutian campaign as a diversion to lure the Americans fleet out of Pearl Harbor;

Really? Then what was the Aleutian campaign?

it was a plan forced on Yamamoto by Adm. Nagano, Head of the Navy, who was (supposedly) Adm. Yamamoto's superior. The Navy also forced carrier support of the Port Moresby operation, leading to the Battle of Coral Sea. The unavailability of 2 fleet carriers (and a CVL) was a contributing factor to the IJN defeat at Midway.

Okay, but why? What was Adm. Nagano expecting or hoping would result from adding the Aleutians to the operation?

Steven

He reinstalled Andrew Brown's map. That did it.

My hard drive is partitioned. I'm considering installing the Nik Mod in the partition just to mess with it. What map do you use?

The first sentence is good, she might even buy it for herself!

The second sentence, however, definitely falls in the category of "Too Much Information". [:'(]

I've always heard they did it for a buffer zone. If the allies establish bases out on the tip of the isalnds, it's a short hop across to Japan.

Another theory i have heard was psycological warfare. Take some of the enemy's home territory.

Shattered Sword claimed the first - buffer zone, as they were worried the Allies might advance along that axis...
