Back from a surprise trip away. Luckily the near zero vivisbilty of yesterday has improved else I'd have been spending New Year away from home. Now to deal with the combination of jet-lag and lack of sleep in the days before I went flying [>:]
I had to go to [CLASSIFIED] to [CLASSIFIED] so that the [CLASSIFIED] could [CLASSIFIED]. Obviously this meant that [CLASSIFIED]. Still, it was worth it to [CLASSIFIED].

I see. Why over the holiday week? Perhaps some rear-echelon mother [CLASSIFIED] didn't plan the easily forseeable wing maintenance, requiring grab-[CLASSIFIED] rat-[CLASSIFIED] last minute cluster [CLASSIFIED] 'emergency' deployment for RAF ground personnel?ORIGINAL: Dixie

Just the way of things I guess. The flight was required and I was the lucky one who got the call. Not really a deployment, just an overnight trip to another base then back home the next day.

i found one from Steve Jackson games... Steve Jackson was in college with me at Rice U., and lived around the corner from me... he founded his game company after Rice, and had a lot of trouble from the government when he designed a game called "Hackers" (iirc)... finally the whole thing was settled in his favor after years of problems...
Glad to see he is still in business. [8D]

That's because of your beak.[:'(]
A beak like this puts me on top of the pecking-order though.

His index-finger was airlifted to the nearest hospital, and is now in intensive care on life support. The Doctors say that it will be touch and go, and the finger could suffer longterm mental effects.
