Well played, both of you. This AAR has given me a great deal to think over in my own games. As Japan I'm going to be sensitive to a Timor gambit. As the Allies I am concentrating on a feint there since my opponent reads this AAR :-). Thanks for sharing your effort in writing this.

Thanks for all the comments. Sometime after I move, I'll probably try and pick up another game, this time as the Empire, and ask for a 2-way AAR opponent. I think that type of set-up has high entertainment value for the gallery.

Hi Q-Ball,

Good luck with the move.

Not sure if i'll have time but if and when you decide to get another game going, and you'd be willing to play against little old me, then let me know and we can see if we can get things going!

Q-Ball,

I just returned from my three-week sabbatical to find that your game came to a mutually agreed upon conclusion.  Congrats on a tremendous victory against a capable and articulate opponent.  It was a real pleasure viewing a contest pitting to gentlemen of the first caliber.

P.S.  The observation made by several readers that the war effectively ended with your highly successful invasion of the DEI in late '42 was accurate.

Q-Ball, I skimmed the last few pages of your AAR and noted that you are moving?  Where to?  Hopefully to the sunny south where you can tan those pasty white-Yankee legs and arms!

I think Miller and I will wind up our game in the next three or four months given our current pace (we're in August '44 at the moment).  So, if you're looking for an opponent around that time, I could be available and would enjoy taking you on.

Possibly, we'll see. I would love to play you.

Only moving 5 miles north; better schools up there. No tan potential, though it's closer to the lake!
