It's now T60 R1 before I have moved anybody. I have 18.7K HRS's. I'm trying to hold what I've got and the fighting is starting to heat up again.

I am right now at turn 55. Only two tactical breakthrough of front line that could be easily dealt with. Now, I hope to make some Operational Reserve for all thee Army Groups.
Not too much moves until Spring. I will just try to capture Sevastopol and Murmansk.
Why don't you mod the scenario so that it's no longer PBEM? It's easy to do.MonkeyBrain3 wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2024 5:43 pm Larry, have you played Third Reich 1942-1945 by Mark Dibbs.
Where is Mark? I hope that he is safe in Odessa.
That scenario seems very well designed. But, it is PBEM only, AI tends to retreat from Soviet front line (me Axis) so maybe to start hot seat then cancel AI Allied side and press end turn.
I know that then human have one free move but hehe maybe it could work.
Idea for your next AAR.![]()
I've never played Third Reich 1942-1945 before but it sounds good.
Good luck on your campaign.

It's now T62 R1 before I have moved anybody. I have 18.6K HRS's. The rivers are frozen over so the Soviets can just walk across them. Makes it tough to defend behind a river.

It's now T63 R1 before I have moved anybody. I have 19.0K HRS's. I gained one more hex at Sevastopol. Now I'm adjacent to the port.

It's still T63 R1 and I have decided to attack the Russians while they are still spread out moving toward me. I can envelope their small groups and destroy them. If I can do it quick enough he could lose a lot of troops.

Hang on Larry
In my game I am on second round 70% of turn 57.
I am slowly sneaking up toward Murmansk from the south haha - during blizzard winter January 1942. So in the spring of 1942. I can attack toward Archangelsk.
Finally some reserves started to arrive. My losses per turn are 385 Heavy Rifle squad, some 22000 so I am good because rein is 425 or something like that. I have also sulprus of 7744 on hand hrs which will come handy for those overextended division. And bloody pestilence.
But in my game Soviets have 54000 Rifle Squads (I have 39000 with latest 3 inf div that arrived this turn) so there is some pressure on the front - good that PO is too stupid to attack en masse
Great scenario

Well, I am on turn 59 not 70. I am playing very slowly in fact
The attack of Soviets out of Kerch was finally beaten - thanks mainly to the artyllery which makes wonders.
Some attacks locally nothing serious, few more turns till end of SWO. But, I will not attack until I repair rail to the front (I am playing vanilla 4.6)
Thank you Larry for writing all those TOAW AAR's.

It's now T65 round 1 and nothing much has changed. My shock is 95 and his shock is 100 and I have 18.8K HRS's. I'm not sure I can win this time. We'll see.

It's now T66 R1 and I've already moved about 20% of the force but it's pretty much like it was at turn start. The Soviets captured Leningrad but I have units headed that way to get it back. Other than that it's going pretty well. I have 19.1K HRS's which is still too low.

Re: Earth Loses Gravity. Details at 11:00
I burned out on my game and stopped for about a month. Then I started over and have been playing without posting anything but I thought it's about time I posted something so this is me in T21. It's 31 August and the weather is 80% cloudy and the climate is starting to grow cooler as fall approaches. I have 37K HRS's and the Soviets are fully mobilized and starting to fight back seriously now. I feel like this game is going better than any other I've had so far.

This is what it looks like in the Leningrad area right now. I've managed to form a solid line from Oranienbaum on the coast to Novgorod where the river crosses a major road. I expect to have Leningrad withing another 5 turns or so.

This is T24, September 10, 1941, early fall, the mornings are cool but gets warmer toward dinner time. I have 34K HRS's and things are going rather well. The Finns have pushed their way down to the stop line. There's a solid front line around the Moscow area but there's quite a large area where gaps appear from there down to the Kiev area. I've broken through D-town and I'm chasing the Soviets. I hope to make it to Stalingrad before winter sets in.

Re: Earth Loses Gravity. Details at 11:00
This is T25 and I've moved closer to Leningrad and fixed the holes where the Soviets broke through my lines and cleared out the Soviet remnants near Kiev and mopped up the Soviets east of Kiev and that releases a lot of troops to move east and lend a hand. Odessa was captured and I moved further south in the peninsula of Ukraine. I'm sneaking up to Stalino.

Re: Earth Loses Gravity. Details at 11:00
Howdy, a question about the Finns.....They are standing on their stop line. They may not be there for long because I'm adjacent to Leningrad. I may have it soon. I killed several divisions worth of Soviet units to get there and my boys are tired. I may have to give them a turn or two to rest. Thanks for your question. I have 30.7HRS's left. I'm not sure that's enough to take Moscow however. It's late September and the days are getting cooler at night. We've had our first cool front pass through.

This is T30 at the end of the turn. I've captured Leningrad, Odessa, and Rostov. I finally solved the problem with the huge gap in the middle. I'm pushing hard for Stalingrad. I hope to get there before winter arrives. I've got 30.1K HRS's so far.
