OOB Editor - merge files?

Post by Dabbs »

I should've tested this earlier...ha...um... Is there a way to merge multiple .OOL files into one?

Essentially, I've developed several orders of battle (different countries - as different files) but will eventually want to merge them into one file. I assumed...yes, that is a very, very dangerous word, that the Open OOB worked similar to the Open Unit function, so that...instead of adding a single unit you could add multiple formations. Alas...it does not appear to work that way!

If there is not a way to merge multiple files - that is a moderate, but not severe setback...just good to have discovered it now and not later.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks!

You can use the export/import (F4/F5) function, but make sure to be careful with the syntax (you'll have to delete all the 'END FORCE' tags and so on), and bear in mind that this only loads units, not formations.
"What did you read at university?"
"War Studies"
"War? Huh. What is it good for?"
"Absolutely nothing."
